💚 Detangling Myths for Kids Hair 💚

Myth 👉🏼 Brushing more frequently will result in fewer knots and tangles.

Truth 👉🏼 Over brushing can actually cause more breakage and frizz. Kids hair, especially those with fine and curly textures, need strategic detangling that’s gentle. Using a wide tooth comb or a detangling brush on damp, conditioned hair will do the trick! 👧🏼

My name is Jessie! I am the owner of Tales & Tangles! 🧚‍♀️ I am a mom of two littles (one is nearly 4 and the other is 1!)

I started Tales & Tangles in the summer time when I noticed lots of moms in Chilliwack were looking for more child-friendly salons locally and I just had this idea of saving parents the struggle of taking their kids to the salon where they would feel the stress of worrying if their kid would behave or feel scared and overwhelmed in a new environment, and thought: “wouldn’t it be so much easier if someone came to your house and cut your kids hair in the safest place they know?”

Going mobile for kids haircuts has been such a fun experience! I feel so honoured to be trusted into your homes and meeting your kiddos! ☺️ New clients are always welcome and I look forward to continuing to serve my community! 💚
