I recently joined Angela on the Bold Moves Business Podcast to talk about my journey from owning an award-winning martini bar and bistro to building Chinook Skincare.

One of the biggest shifts was learning to build a business around the life we wanted, instead of building our life around the business.

Have you ever noticed that your skin can look completely different depending on how you feel?

After stress, it may look tired or unsettled. When you feel rested, happy, connected, or in love, people often say you glow.

My interest in frequency began after I attended my first sound bath and experienced a deep sense of calm that stayed with me for days. My nervous system felt settled, and I felt more balanced and resilient throughout my body.

That experience made me think more deeply about the connection between our skin, our nervous system, and the state in which we live each day.

Research into the mind-skin connection continues to explore how psychological stress can influence the skin through nervous-system, hormonal, and immune pathways.

Can conventional science currently measure what remains in the bottle or tell us precisely how the skin experiences it? Not yet.

For me, frequency imprinting doesn’t replace cosmetic science, thoughtful formulation, or carefully selected ingredients. It’s another dimension of the care and intention that surrounds each product.

I think of it a little like tuning an instrument. When each note is in tune, everything has the opportunity to work together more harmoniously.
