When she came to me she had a solid color that was really gold, and a haircut that she wanted to grow but was convinced by her previous stylist would never get longer. Her first appointment we transitioned her to highlights and lowlites to blend the grey instead of covering it, and we gave her a micro trim.

Fast forward to today, we put in only lowlites to give her some depth, and her hair was at her goal length!

Hi friends!

Like everything else, product costs have gone through the roof. To keep business running, I need to increase the cost of service in order to maintain the quality of products used, and not work for free 🤪.

Admittedly, as someone who pays the invoice and doesn’t always read it; some of my product costs have sneakily increased by 50% 🤮.

We won’t go too crazy, I still want hair to be something people can afford to have done. I will be absorbing some of the increase and on average, color services will go up about 10$. Perhaps another increase will need to happen eventually, but we will worry about that then 🙃.

Girlie numero deux is miss Rilynn. Also a former student, Rilynn is being trained in hair and intends to eventually become a cosmetology teacher like yours truly!

Rilynn is often found making jokes and giggling her butt off. She is FAR less spicy than Addi and I, and is 100% obsessed with our salon dog, Wilbur.

Here’s what Rilynn has to say:

Hi my name is Rilynn !!!
I am a current student at Mc College. I took cosmetology all throughout High school and I grew a true passion for doing hair. I love all of the creativity that goes into it, and making people feel confident and beautiful. My favourite thing about hair is being able to make people’s wishes come true so that they can be the best version of themselves.

Outside of hair, I play Rugby and love to read. I am also a huge animal lover.

I can’t wait to meet all of you !!

Meet Addison!

Addi is a former student of mine who thought she was going to be an interior decorator, until I convinced her that hair was much, much better!

Addi is a ball of energy and her personality is a little spicy (you’re used to it with me🤣). She will be one of the two gals assisting me with prepping clients, shampooing, cleaning, maybe the occasional blowdry… keeping the children in order… pretty much all things Christina! Rest assured, I will still be the one cutting and coloring your hair!

I have my full confidence in both girls (y’all know I wouldn’t let anyone touch you if I didn’t have confidence in them!) This employment opportunity provides them with invaluable on the job training that is beneficial for their education and future career, and will allow me to serve and accommodate all of you to the very best of my ability. It may also bridge into having back-up stylists when I am on vacation, go back to teaching… or if I ever retire from hair lol

Here’s what Addi has to say:

Hey yall! I’m Addi, I am a hairstyling student at McCollege. I took cosmetology all throughout Highschool and grew a true passion for it. The idea of making people feel beautiful and confident is something that draws me to hair. I always loved the idea of being able to let my creativity shine through and create beautiful masterpieces. Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends and family and I also love doing puzzles and colouring!
A fun fact about me is that I have two obese cats… 🐈

She’s super excited to have the opportunity to work with y’all!! ❤️

We will take some time to paint and prep the new place, so if you have an appointment with me, the location will be the old location until I reach out and tell you otherwise (likely till the end of November- unless it sells before).

I’ll also be hiring 2 assistants to help me with this crazy life; they will be helping with shampooing, toning, blowdrying, and childcare. That’s for a different post though.

Rest assured, you will still get the exact service and quality you always have, and I will still be your stylist 😍 - just with a new location and a couple new faces to help and chat with!

New location will be 232 Cottonwood Avenue, Sherwood Park.

As always, I appreciate each and every one of you immensely. My family unit would not be able to run without you. I’m so, so thankful to those of you I have reached out to, in fear of never seeing you again because of the new distance, only to be met with love and responses like “I would travel far and wide for you”. 🫶🏻 I’m surrounded by the best of the best, and I thank you for that.

For the last two years I have not been accepting new hair clients. While I’m home with the baby, I’ll be doing some hair and have openings for about 6 new regular clients.
