We’ve always loved the idea of braiding existing beyond the chair and becoming part of the full creative direction. This shoot gave me the chance to play with that a little more.

6-month loc transformation 🔥
He’d been getting traditional palm-roll retwists since he started his loc journey, but with how often he works out, they weren’t lasting, and he didn’t know there were other options. So eventually, he just let them grow out.
Fast forward 6 months later… it was time for a full revamp 👀
The takeaway: you don’t have to struggle with a maintenance routine that doesn’t work for your lifestyle. There are different techniques that can help your locs stay maintained while still allowing you to live your life.
And no, I wouldn’t recommend waiting 6 months between retwists 😂 but this is exactly why education matters! 🤎
