Week 3 of the WI Women Fish online tournament and I’m currently in 2nd place. I need a big ol’ pike to push me into first (or a few outstanding walleye). So I’ve been casting my arm off and bringing in these stinky, toothy, slimy, bait stealing jerks… no major upgrades this week.
My time on the water is limited… so we’ll have to wait and see what next weekend holds. 🤞

Week 2 of the WI Women Fish online tournament has been fun! Weather was tough and measuring and taking photos solo is challenging. I’ve slipped into second place overall. Time to upgrade some fish!

Day 1 of the WI Women Fish annual online multi-species tournament was a blast! I joined this club in 2019. It is an awesome community and the largest all-female fishing club in North America (I think?!)… I look forward to this tourney all year. It pushes me to try new techniques and to go after species I would normally avoid.

I’ve caught quite a few 18” + bass this summer. These were some nice ones from the past few days. My PB is 19.5… I’m still looking for that 20 incher. 🤞

The walleye fishing has been excellent- but it’s these big bass that get my heart pumping! This week was a mix of cool weather, rainbows, perpetual wet dog, more rainbows and even bigger bass!
Yachts and Mimosas, Kayaks and Beer, tomato tomato.
If you know me, you know that I hate these slimy, toothy, lure stealing, snot rockets… It was a not so brave catch and sloppy release of a Northern Pike (aka Jack). I’m quite sure this is my PB and second biggest I’ve seen in this lake. As you can tell I’m still learning! I’ve never claimed to be an expert - but each day on the water, skill and confidence builds! Get out there and have fun (or whatever this was) 😝 you’ll have great stories to tell!

It was a magical morning on the water. One where a fish was caught on nearly every cast. This beautiful 18.5” bass was the highlight. One more week of work and then a full slate of fishing days ahead!
