! From 4 down to these 3 photos, which do you like best for my next business card? Burgundy, purple or navy background? (Technically, none of these are my brand colours, per se, so don’t worry about that as a factor!)

🤫 I have a secret for you.
Focus on the work, not the outcome...
*
This is something we say a LOT in the network marketing industry, but these past 2 weeks, this particular 'secret' has been revealed MULTIPLE times in conversations I've had with people in different ways.
One person wondered if I still worried about how others perceived me when I was showing my vulnerability, as he had been shunned by a couple of people (other men) for sharing a bit more of his authentic, vulnerable self.
Another was starting a new business, and was wondering if it would be successful.
Another was traveling somewhere new and was worried if he could grow his business AND be himself in a new culture.
All of these are legitimate concerns and fear.
A lot of people would say, "don't worry about it; you've got this; just be yourself; just ignore it; don't think about it;" which is like telling someone who is really high strung to relax.
It's dismissive and doesn't acknowledge that fear.
So, how do you 'get over it'?
Well, you don't. 😲
🎤
➡️ You honour it.
➡️ You work with it.
➡️ And you detach from the outcome.
💥 At the end of the day, you're the one who is showing up. You're the one doing the work. You're the one who is being authentically you.
You can't help how others react to you. You can't look at a crystal ball and know how things will turn out, no matter how big your vision. You can't change how others perceive you.
➡️ But you can control how you show up.
"So, detach from the outcome & just show up." ~ Sarah Khan

This is a conversation I have been having a LOT with people lately and one of the things they are reaching out to talk to me about because they are seeking clarity... about how they want others to remember them.
I can share my experience because I was ‘forced’ to sit down with myself and figure out how I wanted to be remembered as well...
As the little girl who didn’t fit in anywhere? Or as the women who belonged to her greater purpose?
🥰 Thanks to for helping me create the catalyst that sent me on that path to honour who I was becoming and the impact I could have. And for helping me see that I belonged for a greater purpose.
And thank you, Nancy 🤗 for pushing me to foster my potential and impact on others. I sometimes feel like I don’t ‘know’ what’s happening, but I feel like you’ve seen it the entire time. And 💥 for saying it like it is, showing me how to push myself to do the work, to be consistent and get s**t done.
I woke up with a full heart of gratitude, and I just wanted to share my feelings on some of the most influential people and coaches in my life in the past 10 months.

Ask your retailer if they have any special recycling programs or find out from your personal care brands what they are doing to reduce plastic & improve packaging!

April is Autism Acceptance month in Nova Scotia, so I wanted to share some of the earlier struggles that I had as a mom of a child with autism-- more specifically that struggles that I internally dealt with that weren't because of him at all, but because of me and not being able to cope and feeling like I was the worst mom ever, which I know many parents feel, regardless of having a special needs child or not.
We don't always want to admit how bad we feel as parents, especially when we make mistakes. But, honestly, we're just human and we need to recognize that we will always continue to learn, usually from those mistakes.
Friends, I hope that some of what I share resonates with you.

Calling all people that don’t get your hair done/cut often. I need your advice!
I’d like to say covid restrictions is the reason I don’t prioritize getting my hair done often, but it’s only added to the excuse. I’ve generally maintained my own hair, (especially after having a lopsided cut which meant it had to be cut shorter to fix, but of course, that person did fix it).
But after more than a couple of years of getting it done professionally, I’m sure to the ‘shame’ of my amazing hairdresser that I go to now, lol, I need to do something.
So, for real, it has to be something that grows out nicely, because we know that I probably won’t go back in a while, lol. But I want to keep length and am not opposed to colour or foils that fade out nicely. Although I haven’t coloured my hair in a decade and I honour those greys that are coming in, I wouldn’t mind chatting about the possibility.
Thoughts? Suggestions? This momma needs a fresh feel for spring!
