The making of our very popular super posh handmade whipped tallow soap
"Fleur de Lisse". We source our tallow from a local farm & then hand process it. Basically this is like a bakery churning their own butter. Whipping tallow into submission is no easy task. This takes x2 people and a close eye on just the right time to stop whipping. We can only make 12 bars at a time as this is such a delicate & gentle process ✨️ If you are one of the lucky few to have this soap then you know the combination of Gardenia, ylang ylang & Lavender ia a beautiful romantic, calming and luxurious aroma 🌿🌸

Meet Nick. We met over 10 years ago at the farmers’ market, back when we were in our early days of slinging soap.
This time he’s getting a whiff of KRYPTONITE 💚, created by our son Zen, with the ridiculously fresh combination of lemongrass + lime essential oils 🍋🍋🟩
Over the years, we haven’t just built a family business. We’ve built friendships, longtime clientele, and a community of people who’ve been sniffing along & helping us create some fabulous products for years.

There’s something pretty special about seeing a mother and daughter standing together in our shop, smelling soaps, laughing and picking their favourites. 🫧
And this mother-daughter duo is extra special — Juliana is the young entrepreneur behind Fia Fia the beautiful yarn shop just around the corner. 🧶
We absolutely love being part of a neighbourhood filled with family-run businesses, creativity and strong women building something of their own.

✨ Sometimes the camera just knows where to look 📸
I didn’t point the camera at this beautiful young woman… the camera found her. And honestly, can you blame it? Holding our Rose Quartz Soap, she looks absolutely stunning 💗
Rose Quartz smells like fresh, juicy grapefruit and is made with Himalayan Pink Salt, loved for its mineral content and gentle exfoliating texture that helps buff away dull, dry skin, leaving it feeling beautifully smooth, polished and refreshed 🍊
A little luxury. A beautiful bar. And apparently… very camera-worthy. ✨

Sometimes I look around and think… we actually created this magical space ✨️
My two sons and I have poured so much of ourselves into our Bath & Body Bakery — creating products that smell and feel absolutely incredible, and a whimsical little space where people can come in, explore, sniff, smile and treat themselves to a little self-care 💖
I’m so grateful that I get to do what I love alongside my sons, and even more grateful that we get to share it with our community ❤️
And the song playing in the background? That’s me too — My son Jet who operates our Halifax location is also a passionate pianist.
My son Zen who operates our Porters Lake location is truly the mastermind behind many of our top selling soaps.
