I’ve been in beauty for 20 years. And I’ve felt a lot.
Being called “just a hairdresser.”
Being laughed at for being kind.
Walking into a back room and feeling the silence.
Overhearing gossip.
Clients confiding how small or intimidated they’ve felt in spaces that should have lifted them up.
For a long time, I thought those moments said something about me.
Maybe I wasn’t enough.
Maybe kindness made me weak.
Maybe I really was “just a hairdresser.”
But with time, I’ve learned something different. Most of those moments weren’t really about me at all. They came from someone’s perception, their own experience, or their need to feel okay in that moment.
Now, when my chest tightens, I pause. I breathe. I ask: “What’s my own story here?” And I choose differently.
Compassion instead of comparison.
Neutrality instead of reaction.
My highest self instead of my triggered self.
Because here’s what I believe: we are healers. Every single one of us. We don’t just change hair, makeup, or skin — we change energy. We hold so much power to create spaces of safety, kindness, and celebration.
There is more than enough for all of us.
And the industry will rise when we do. ✨

There’s a rhythm to hair days that I love.
It starts quiet — tools laid out, K-tips lined up like little pearls, my foil comb resting nearby. The heat tool clicks on, the pin brush is fresh and waiting. This is the part you don’t usually see — the calm before the transformation.
Yesterday, a client told me, “When I sit in your chair, I just know you’re going to do exactly what I need.” She said it’s because of the questions I ask, the way I dig into every detail — not just about her hair, but about how she wants to feel when she leaves. That trust means everything to me.
Every brush, every tool, every strand is chosen on purpose. Because hair extensions aren’t just about adding length or fullness — they’re about creating something that feels like you. Something seamless and comfortable. Something you don’t have to think about… but can’t help but love when you catch yourself in the mirror.
By the time you sit in my chair, the prep is done, the vision is clear, and all that’s left is the fun part — watching it come together strand by strand. ✨
