You should ALWAYS wet your hair before swimming!! Your hair acts like a sponge. If it is already saturated with clean water, it will absorb less of the chlorine or salt water from the pool. Rinsing after will also help too, before it dries into your hair!! Get yourself a good clarifying shampoo to help with any summer build up!!

Not all hair absorbs colour the same way—especially when it’s been damaged.

Before this young ladies colour, the stylist is using a porosity equalizer to help balance the hair’s porosity. This creates a more even surface so the colour absorbs more consistently from roots to ends.

Using the wrong hair ties!!

Not all hair ties are good/safe for your hair. Especially if you use them daily!
If you’re using tight elastic bands/hair ties, they could be causing breakage!! ❌
Instead, choose soft, seamless hair ties that are made with fabric or silk.
Softer hair ties reduce pulling and tension, help prevent breakage, help reduce dents in your hair, and are safer for fine/colour- treated hair as well.
