I know I'm in the beauty industry, and don't hate me for saying this, but I'm kinda a low maintenance skin care girl. Ok maybe not super low maintenance but I'm definitely somewhere in the middle.
Face wash, exfoliator, moisturizer, eye serum, and sunscreen, occasional undereye masks. I'll go for a facial once every few years as a treat. That's it. I don't do Botox or any other treatments and I'm not sure if I'll ever want to.
Not saying anyone's intense skin care regime is wrong, it's just not for me. I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on products and honestly, having to keep buying so many products stresses me out just thinking about it.
I'm into enhancing beauty naturally and finding a few products I love.
That being said, these are a few of my tried and true low spend tips that have gotten my mid-30's skin through Canadian winters ❄️🥶
Sometimes I'm all about brow pencil, sometimes it's all about the brow powder. Both can be used in so many different ways to achieve the look you're going for. For me lately, swapping out the angle brush for a tiny pointed tip brush is a gamechanger for applying brow powder. Sometimes it's all about the tools you use! Being able to do teeny tiny strokes only in the places you need them keeps your brows soft and natural.

Makeup has always been ritualistic for me. A time of meditation if you will, before the day starts. When I was younger, I used makeup as a shield between me and the world, but also as a way to express myself and it made me feel more "me".
Where I'm at now, I don't need that shield anymore and if I'm not working, I likely am not wearing any makeup. But makeup continues to be a creative outlet for me. Taking my time doing my makeup in the morning before going to work is my prep time for the day. A time to mentally and physically prepare myself for the day ahead, so in that way, it still makes me feel like "me".
That's the beauty of makeup, it can mean so many different things to different people. Your relationship to it can change throughout your life and you definitely have to adjust how you approach it as you get older and your skin changes.
