1) I have no idea how long I’ve been a client. It was well before COVID so approximately 8-10 years?

What keeps you coming back?

2) What keeps me coming back?  It feels like family. Everyone is so kind, always smiling and I just love the atmosphere. I can truly relax when I’m there


Which treatment is your absolute favourite?

3) which is my favourite treatment? All of them!  Everything is done so professionally and when I leave with new, colourful gel nails, a pedicure or a set of lashes - I feel refreshed and with a spring in my step


How do you feel after a visit with us ?

4) How do I feel after a visit?  Refreshed, pampered and excited to show off my nails, lashes, etc

This spa and staff are like family. The favourite day of my week, is the day I have a service booked.

Today, on Emancipation Day, I pause to reflect on the freedoms I often take for granted.

There was a time in history when, because I am Black, I would not have been free to choose my own path. I may not have been able to marry the person I love, raise my children as my own, own a business, pursue an education, earn a living for my work, or enjoy the basic liberties that many of us experience today.

Emancipation Day is about remembering that past, not to live in it, but to learn from it. It reminds us of the strength and resilience of those who endured slavery and fought for freedom. It also calls us to acknowledge the harms experienced by Indigenous Peoples and the many underrepresented communities who have faced, and continue to face, systemic injustice and discrimination.

History matters because it shapes our present. When we understand where we have come from, we are better equipped to build a future rooted in justice, equity, and belonging for everyone.

On August 1, 1834, the Slavery Abolition Act came into effect across most of the British Empire, ending the legal enslavement of more than 800,000 people. In Canada, Emancipation Day honours that historic milestone while recognizing that the journey toward equality did not end there.

May we never forget. May we continue to learn. And may we keep working toward a future where freedom, dignity, and opportunity belong to everyone.
