Breast cancer changed everything
Now I live The Power of Not
Real life, real growth, real laughs
Purple Rain was a slow jam back in the day at Grade 7/8 school dances, in 1984.
We thought we were the bomb 😆
And guess what? We still are 🙌🏾 ..
Thrifted this t shirt, cut off the sleeves and cropped it into a vest. Had to make it my own.

The Power of Not Doing Too Much. Sunshine ….☀️ I miss you so f@&$ing much!
Almost stayed home. 🏡
Again. 🤦🏾♀️ (my excuse…had to mark paragraphs, journals, reading response assignment, writers workshop) BUT I stepped out….and I’m glad I did! Sorry students…it was about me this weekend. 😂
A spectacular event 🔥

Four years ago, I was hanging out with the RED DEVIL and today I am hanging out in red dress ~ grateful to be the LADY IN RED❤️
P.S. “The Red Devil” (Doxorubicin) is an intravenous cancer medicine with a clear, bright red color, which is how it got its nickname.
💉 This chemo drug has harsh side effects:
*nausea and vomiting, which can be severe
*total hair loss (alopecia) - may fully or partially grow back after treatment
diarrhea
*swollen mouth and mouth sores
*loss of appetite (anorexia)
*shortness of breath
*fatigue, extreme tiredness
*low platelets (thrombocytopenia)
*low white blood cell numbers in the blood (leukopenia), which may increase your risk for infections
