I have officially retired from cooking on retreats. 😂

Which is objectively hilarious considering THIS was the reaction to my chili.

But here’s the thing:

I don’t want to spend my retreats in the kitchen anymore.

I want to be at the table.

I want to go on the excursions.

I want to actually be there for the conversations, the ridiculous moments, the laughing-until-you-cry s**t.

So from now on, I’m leaving the cooking to people who are actually professionals at it.

Private chefs. Catered meals. Beautiful food.

And if Betty was this excited about my chili…

I feel like the future is looking VERY promising. 😂

Laughter. Positivity. And more laughter.

But if I had to choose the one “book” that has changed my life the most?

It’s my passport. ✈️

I’ve been traveling since I was a kid. My grandparents were snowbirds, so some of my earliest memories of travel are going to Florida with them.

Then when I was a teenager, I spent five months in Israel. And as I got older, the list just kept growing. Turkey. Argentina. Costa Rica. Egypt. And so many places in between.

And I don’t think I realized until much later just how much travel was shaping me.

It changed my perspective. It changed what I wanted out of my life. It made the world feel so much bigger than whatever was happening in my little corner of it.

And during some really hard years, when I struggled with depression, having somewhere new to go gave me something to look forward to. There was always another place I hadn’t seen yet. Another experience I hadn’t had yet.

Maybe that’s why I ended up doing what I do now.

I still freaking love books. 😂 But no story I’ve ever read has changed my life quite as much as the places “stamped” inside this one. ❤️
