❄️ ❄️ How to Protect Your Hot Tub From Freeze Damage This Winter

With cold temperatures setting in, we want to remind hot tub owners that freeze damage is one of the most common — and preventable — causes of major repairs in winter.
A few key steps can make all the difference:

1️⃣ Keep the water level above the filter line
If the water drops below the filter intake, the tub can stop circulating and stop heating — even if the power is on. This is one of the fastest ways freeze damage occurs.

2️⃣ Make sure the water is circulating
Moving water resists freezing. If your tub is operational, ensure it is circulating normally. If you notice error codes, low flow, or temperature drops, address them immediately.

3️⃣ Keep the cover on and properly sealed
A good cover traps heat and protects the plumbing. Wind and exposed water are a dangerous combination in freezing temperatures.

4️⃣ If there’s a leak, act fast
Even a slow leak can allow the water level to fall below safe operating levels. Do not ignore it. If you suspect a leak, contact us right away.

5️⃣ If the tub won’t stay heated, winterize it
If your tub cannot maintain heat or power is lost for an extended period, proper winterization is critical. Draining and blowing out the lines correctly can prevent thousands of dollars in damage.

❗ Freeze damage often happens quietly — overnight or during a cold snap — and is typically not covered under warranty.
If you’re unsure whether your tub is protected, reach out sooner rather than later. A quick check now can save a major repair later.
Stay warm and stay protected this winter.
