Getting geared up with bridal trials and I’m already starting to see a huge trend of the styles for 2025.
The half updo is one of those bridal staples. Changing up the curl pattern really alters the look of the hairstyle. From beachy waves, sleek and pulled back, to bouncy curls you can never go wrong with a half up do.
While I am currently giving all the love and attention to my 2025 brides, that doesn’t mean I have forgotten about my 2026 brides to be.

Hi, I’m Alex—the girl behind the chair (and the Instagram page)!
I’ve been a hairstylist since 2012, and I quickly found my passion in the wedding industry. There’s something incredibly rewarding about being part of a bride’s day—creating beautiful updos and waves that last all day while making someone feel confident and radiant.
Education is a huge part of my journey which is why I love teaching stylists how to perfect their skills in bridal hair. I’ve trained with some of the best educators in the industry and in 2022, became the first Canadian to be endorsed by the Kristina Gasperas Academy. Staying on top of trends and refining my craft is something I take seriously, but at the heart of it all, I love connecting with my brides and bringing their vision to life.
A few fun facts about me? I’m an INFJ, which means I’m a deep thinker, a perfectionist, and a bit of an introvert (but don’t worry—I love a good chat while styling hair!). Outside of work, I’m a hockey mom and business owner, juggling life with a busy schedule.
There isn’t a Doritos flavor I haven’t tried. Seriously, if they release a new one, consider it taste-tested and approved (or, occasionally, deeply regretted).
I dream of being part of a huge creative production—whether it’s behind the scenes on a film set, working with top influencers, or even one day teaching around the world on the big stage.
My bobby pin collection is probably(no-DEFINITELY) larger than my retirement savings.
This branding photoshoot couldn’t have been complete with out the talented and beautiful and . I am so grateful for these girls! 😍
I’m so glad you’re here and I welcome you to this new chapter of my business under my new business name Alex Todd Hair.

One of the most frequently asked questions I get from brides is what time should we start hair services?
Your wedding morning is dictated by 3 major factors.
1) the time you gain entry to your bridal suite
2) if you are doing a first look
3) and/or what time your ceremony starts.
If you have a larger wedding party and do not want to wake up extra early, your best option would be to hire a team instead of a solo artist like myself. On average it takes 5.5 hours to have 5 hair services; including the bride, complete.
Creating morning timelines are just one of the many things I can help brides with when they book with me to be their bridal hairstylist. The timeline I provide is simply a guide to help keep everyone on track.
