Everyone talks about becoming an educator like it’s the ultimate next step.

Create your course.
Charge more money.
Train a few students.
Make thousands on a training day.

And yes, don’t get me wrong becoming an educator completely changed my business.

But after training over 1,300 students, let me tell you what nobody really talks about.

You’re not just teaching a treatment anymore.

You’re taking responsibility for someone else understanding it well enough to go out and build a business from it.

And those are two completely different things.

You’ll have students who fly through the training…

and students who need you to explain the same thing five different ways before it clicks.

You’ll get messages months after someone has trained because they’ve come across something they’ve never experienced before.

You’ll answer questions that are literally written in the manual.

You’ll have students who implement everything you teach them…

and students who implement nothing and then wonder why their business isn’t growing.

You’ll have to set boundaries around your support, because if you don’t, being an educator can very quickly turn into being available to hundreds of people 24/7.

And probably the biggest lesson I’ve learned?

Being amazing at your treatment doesn’t automatically make you an amazing educator.

Teaching is a completely different skill.

You need to know how to communicate.

How to simplify things.

How to support different types of learners.

How to give feedback.

How to handle difficult conversations.

And how to create a course that actually prepares someone for what happens AFTER they leave your training room.

Because your responsibility isn’t just to hand somebody a certificate at the end of the day.

It’s to make sure the education behind that certificate actually means something.

So yes, becoming an educator can completely change your income and your business.

It did for me.

But if you’re only doing it because somebody told you it’s the easiest way to make more money in the beauty industry…

you’re going to find out very quickly that there’s a lot more to being an educator than selling
