Diffusing for Defined Curls
✨ Before & After: Curl Transformation by ✨

Want bouncy, defined curls that last all day?

✨Start by applying your curl products to soaking wet hair to lock in moisture, then ➡️
✨ Use a diffuser to gently dry your curls instead of air-drying. Hair is at its most fragile when it’s wet. Because of this, air-dried waves and curls have a tendency to get frizzy faster and be less defined than hair that is diffused with effective diffusing technique!

*Try hover diffusing first to create a strong cast before pixie diffusing your hair for maximum definition. This technique enhances curl formation, reduces frizz, and still allows you to encourage curl and natural volume during the diffusing process!🍃💁‍♀️*

🔹 Pro Tip: Don’t skip the diffuser! It helps define your curls and prevents them from getting flat.

Lightweight products and breaking the cast for VOLUME & BOUNCE on FINE HAIR!

✨ Before & After: Bouncy spirally Hair ✨
Fine curls that need volume?

Curl transformation by

On soaking wet hair, start with lightweight curl creams or a gel based primer, and layer with a lightweight products with hold that won’t weigh down and look greasy in your hair.

Diffuse your hair to encourage curl and volume!
Once your curls are dry, fully break the cast by scrunching with a shine serum or a cream—this will release soft, voluminous curls that move with you! 🌟

🔹 Pro Tip: Avoid heavy products that can drag down fine curls—less is more for a bouncy finish! For extra volume- try products that add texture like texture creams or sprays on very silky, fine hair!

After three years of barely leaving the house (between my concussion and lockdowns), actually putting together outfits and rediscovering my personal style has been SO FUN 🤩 I’ve been having so much fun curating my outfits for the salon so thought I might start sharing them here with y’all hahah

When it comes to personal style— I’ve been using ‘s style language method—- I highly recommend if you are a beginner like me and struggle putting together outfits that feel authentically “you”!!

WASH DAY

Cowash?? Sulfate free?? Clarifying??

Shampooing is shockingly overwhelming, especially when you first start taking care of your wavy or curly hair!!

Here are three tips that are SUPER helpful to get started!

🫧With many sulfate free or low poo shampoos, dirty hair won’t lather! That means that you can and SHOULD double or even triple wash , until you start to feel the shampoo start to lather— (that means you’re actually getting your hair CLEAN!).
🫧focus on shampooing your scalp, rather then the shaft of the hair! The strands will get cleaned during the rinsing process- it’s the scalp that needs a thorough scrub and massage 💆‍♀️
🫧your hair gets build up on it, and typically co washes, low poo and sulfate free shampoos wont remove that buildup. If your hair is acting weird(less curly than usual, your having scalp issues, your hair is getting oily faster than us usual… basically if ANYTHING IS OUT OF THE ORDINARY …) it’s possible it might be time to clarify 😏 clarifying shampoos remove buildup and help “reset” the hair. They aren’t meant to be used every washday.

What questions do you have about shampooing???

How TO GET JUICY, FRIZZ FREE SPIRALS

♥️Mousse & Gel can provide definition and hold to help define & separate spirals and make them last
♥️Use a brush to smooth wet frizz and add definition. Remember, wet frizz becomes dry frizz!!
♥️If you struggle to create larger clumps and hair is turning out stringy, layer more of a moisturizing cream products under your gel- for example the LUS brands All-in-one.

What is your wavy or curly hair DRY?? 🌵🌵🌵🍸🍸🍸

Ugh… nobody wants dry or frizzy waves or curls! But what can you when your tresses end up dryer than a good martini?

🍸Clarify! Build up can prevent your hair from taking on moisture. (Love gentle clarifying shampoo)
🍸when you are conditioning your hair, add ALOT of water and work on almost creating a lather with the conditioner. ( step 2 conditioner is perfect)
🍸periodically deep conditioner with a moisture -forward deep conditioner ( deep condition and repair)
🍸seal moisture in with a shine serum or hair oil once hair is dry (controversial pick, but I love sleek and shine anti frizz serum - it contains silicones)
🍸avoid using products that contain excessive drying alcohols
🍸prevent moisture loss overnight by sleeping on silk or satin (sleep cap, scarf or pillowcase!)
