Laser hair removal + summer CAN go together, you just need to know the rules.

Here’s your cheat sheet:

✅ Wear sunscreen daily — SPF 30+ is non-negotiable after laser. Your skin is extra sensitive to UV, so reapply every 2–3 hours when you’re outside.

✅ Keep your skin hydrated — Ottawa summers are humid but the sun is no joke. A gentle moisturizer post-treatment protects your skin and speeds up healing.

✅ Time your sessions with your summer plans — book 3–4 weeks before vacations, weddings, or any big moment so you’re healed and glowing when it counts.

❌ Don’t come in with a tan — fresh sun exposure before your appointment increases the risk of burns and uneven results. Come in with clean, untanned skin.

❌ Don’t sweat it out right after your appointment — pools, patios, outdoor workouts — heat and sweat irritate freshly treated skin. Give it a few days before diving back in.

❌ Don’t go out during peak UV hours post-treatment — the sun hits hardest between 10am–2pm. After laser, that window is your skin’s worst enemy. Seek shade and protect that fresh skin!
