Each jewellery piece I make is unique. I especially like to work with dichroic glass. They come in all shapes, sizes and colours.
Dichroic glass contains multiple micro-layers of metals or oxides, which give the glass dichroic optical properties, meaning that certain wavelengths of light either pass through or are reflected. In plain English: the pendant's colours shift depending on the angle of view and sometimes even based on the colour of clothing you are wearing. Looking for something to do this Saturday, April 20? Head to the Ottawa Valley Crafts and Collectibles Show at the National Archives on Wellington. Parking and admission are free. I won't be there but there will be lots of great vendors. Get your Mother's Day shopping done early.

Don't forget about the Suburban Craft Fair at Ben Franklin Place Saturday, November 17. I'll be there along with 29 other local craft artists. Free parking and free admission. Time is 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
