After two decades in Ottawa, Electrologist Seana Richmond has moved her practice to Moncton, New Brunswick – and she’s now welcoming clients.

Seana isn’t just any electrologist. She is a globally recognized name in permanent hair removal, especially for complex cases:

I'd like to thank and congratulate electrolysis student Ashley Furrow for choosing Electrolysis By Seana as her practical Instruction site for her training with Swansons Canadian Institute of Electrolysis.

Ashley approached me when she learned I had moved to New Brunswick I enthusiastically said YES! It's just been confirmed to me Ashley has paid her tuition and will be beginning the theory portion of her training shortly. Congratulations Ashley!

Ashley upon graduation plans to begin her practice in the Fredericton area as I understand it and she will be a ready when she does.

Our Ottawa location will be closing abut March 15. My new location at 149 King Street Dieppe New Brunswick will be opening on April 9 2026.

I will miss all f my Ottawa clients, but I also look forward to meeting some new clients in the city that I called "Home " for most of my adult life . I hope Moncton is every bit of a success that Ottawa has been.

A Carl Zeiss OPMI 99 microscope I purchased 3 years ago, but had to wait for a part to be delivered before using. I've started using it, but it's a steep learning curve. Hoping to make much better use of my investment.

I'm happy to announce that Sasha Sharp has graduated her program at Swansons Canadian Institute of Electrolysis and at Electrolysis by Seana, andnow joins me as a Certified Electrologist at our clinic. Sasha is dedicated to supporting the transgender community and has obtained an Apilus Xcell epilator to perform superior treatments with.Her introductory rates are initial rates only as she builds her clientele.

Winter hours are here again.From now until the end of June 2025 our hours are as follows:
Mondays 10 am- 630 pm
Tuesdays: 10 am -7:00 pm
Wednesdays 10AM - 630 PM
Thursdays: 10 am - 7 PM
Fridays: 10 am- 6 PM
Saturdays: 10 AM - 2:30 PM ( some saturdays reserved, book ahead)

Electrologist Sasha Sharp is completing her Certified Electrologist training over the month of December. Time is running out for those who have been counting on her discounted sessions, and unfortunately, there are so many of you I think that preference is now being given to those who have started with her already. Come January when Sasha has graduated, her rates will be initially set at a discounted rate of $90 /hour as she builds her clientele.

Sasha will be taking on more evening and weekend ( sat and sunday shifts) at that time as she builds her clientele. Over time, it is planned that as I edge toward retirement, Sasha will be taking over support of the transgender community here in Ottawa. I am helping her to build her own business here. It's my hope that this will be 5-8 years from now, but market forces are making me consider hastening this if cost of living increases any more than it has.

I've deliberately organized my schedule to provide the greatest coverage after 4 pm weekdays, and to increase weekend availability for not only myself, but for Sasha as well. Last year this time we saw record sales from Jan- June , causing me to be burnt out by the time July came around, and I was not able to to maintain balance working so late into the evenings. This resulted in a record low for the latter half of the year. Having learned this, I'm designing more time off starting in the summer, ( traditionally a seasonal low compared with strong spring seasons) but maintaining the same evening hours.It's also still likely that I will have to adjust as time goes by This is especially important as many of our clientele are unable to attend during our daytime hours due to a government return to office order. We're working hard to find the balance, and this is especially difficult as I get older and am less able to work the late hours I have in the past

Yes, we are finally accepting new clients.

Also for this fall, for the months of september and October we are making consultations for new transgender clients, free. There is a reduced one hour session available for these clients as well during September and October.
Please note that we no longer offer 10 minute sessions except for long established clients. If your needs are less than 30 minutes electrolysis as a starting point, unfortunately you would not be s good match for our services.
Also note that Sasha sharp is now beginning her early hands on training, and she needs models to practise on. You can coordinate between myself and Sasha .These are free treatments, but please expect someone who is slow and still very much learning. It wont be a lot of hair off but you can feel good about helping a transwoman achieving her goals and going on to serve the community here in Ottawa
