The energy this week has been intense, and even the Earth itself is feeling it. It's been building and midweek, many people felt the peak. Let's unpack it.
Emotionally, triggers are surfacing and mirroring your insecurities back to you. This can present as having less patience for things you used to tolerate, miscommunication, or old wounds surfacing. This is not to overwhelm you, but to show you exactly where your energy is ready to shift. Reframe it as a gift, as an opportunity to transform - permanently.
🐏 Astrologically, this has been one of the most charged weeks of the year. A rare cluster of planets in Aries has been building pressure— this is activation energy.
🌍 Even the Earth reflected it. The Schumann Resonance (the Earth’s electromagnetic pulse) spiked in a complete whiteout for 6 hours straight on Wednesday April 15 - again, maxed sustained activation energy. And while science is still catching up, many experienced this as heightened sensitivity, fatigue, or restlessness. If you can't sleep this week, you are in good company 👋. Ottawa also experienced an earthquake with my house rumbling for two minutes with the dogs reacting.
🌱 And now… the shift. This is the kind of week where your awareness alone - noticing what is showing itself to you - can transform your entire trajectory. You might even jump timelines! Embrace the tenderness and step into your power!
✨️Your initiation is coming - pay attention. Choose to show up differently this time. Might look like the same old, but your perspective, your boundaries, and how you feel will have shifted. Be authentic to your reset, your awakening, and seize the energy of this portal.
🌑 We close the week with a New Moon in Aries—
the beginning of the zodiac. A true reset. Take time on Friday night to settle into your new identity. For me, I'm attending a soundbath - with eyes closed and body surrendered to the healing energies of the Earth and vibrations- to integrate my shifts with clarity, courage, and intention.
❓️What has this week shown you that you’re now ready to transform? Talking it through adds to its power - reach out if you'd like a compassionate ear or some guidance to interpret what you are moving through.

That snowmelt puddle in your yard is a sanctuary of life and transformation for many species. Don't overlook the puddles of opportunity that present in your life.
There's a puddle in the woods that wasn't there in January. It won't be there in July. Right now, it's the most important body of water in your neighborhood.
It's a vernal pool. No inlet. No outlet. No fish. Just snowmelt and rain trapped in a depression that holds water for three to four months, then dries completely.
That's the point.
No fish means no predators eating eggs. Every amphibian within a quarter mile knows this. Spotted salamanders crossed roads at midnight to reach it. Wood frogs called from its edges for three nights and then went silent. Their egg masses — jelly clusters the size of softballs — are floating on the surface right now.
Below the surface, the race is running.
Fairy shrimp appeared first. Translucent, half an inch long, swimming upside down. They hatch from eggs that have been sitting in dry leaf litter since last summer, waiting for water to return. They'll complete their entire lifecycle — hatch, grow, mate, lay eggs, die — before the pool dries.
Caddisfly larvae are building cases from tiny sticks and sand grains on the bottom. Dragonfly nymphs are hunting mosquito larvae. The food web in a temporary puddle is as complex as any pond.
The clock is the water line. When it reaches the mud, everything still in larval form dies.
🌿 How to find one:
- Walk any wooded area with low spots after rain — standing water with no flowing source is likely vernal
- Jelly egg masses on the surface confirm it
- Fairy shrimp (tiny, translucent, swimming upside down) are diagnostic — they only live in vernal pools
- Don't introduce fish, plants, or water — the system works because it's temporary
A puddle with a deadline. Everything in it knows. 🐸

🌿 A Basket Blessed, A Community Held 🌿
Polish communities around the world gather in local churches today for a beautiful, sacred, and ancient tradition.
On the eve of Easter, families gather with carefully prepared baskets — filled with bread, eggs, salt, greenery, and other symbols of life.
This sacred tradition, known as Święconka, is not just about what is carried, but what each item represents for the family that prepared it:
🥚 Eggs — new life, rebirth, the quiet promise of transformation
🍞 Bread — nourishment, abundance, the body being sustained
🧂 Salt — protection, purification, the clearing of what no longer serves
🌿 Herbs & greens — vitality, healing, the awakening of the Earth
🐑 Lamb (often butter or sugar figurine) — gentleness, innocence, and renewal.
Each basket becomes a living prayer of that family, that is then blessed by Holy Water and the prayers of the collective. Each basket unique — yet all part of the same circle.
There is an ancient teaching in this: a remembering that we are not meant to walk alone. Healing is strengthened in community, when witnessed. There is power in bringing what you carry into a shared space.
Just like the baskets: different stories, different paths and families, one globally-unified energy honouring an ancient cultural tradition.
As we move through this season of renewal, consider your reflection: What are you preparing to nourish yourself and your loved ones?

Fresh eggs. What does your Easter prep look like?

The rhythms of the moon 🌕 and pagan nature-based rituals 🌿 still quietly guide some of Christianity's most sacred celebrations—like Easter which is set as the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox.
IN 1 DAY, the Pink Moon rises — and it will determine the date of Easter for 2.4 billion Christians, exactly as it has every single year since 325 AD.
In 325 AD, the Council of Nicaea established a rule that has never been changed: Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full Moon after the spring equinox. That full Moon is the Pink Moon. Not a Pope. Not a government. Not a committee. The Moon's orbital position determines the most important date in the Christian calendar — and has done so for 1,701 years without exception.
This year, the Pink Moon reaches peak illumination on April 1, 2026 at 10:11 PM EDT. The spring equinox occurred on March 20. The first Sunday after April 1 is April 5. Easter 2026 falls on April 5 — determined entirely by the Moon's position in its orbit around Earth.
The Gregorian calendar, the Julian calendar, the Hebrew calendar, and the Islamic calendar all use lunar cycles as their foundation. Every civilization in recorded history has organized time around the Moon. The Pink Moon does not just rise above your house tomorrow night. It runs the calendar of 2.4 billion people.
Does it change how you see the Moon to know it still governs civilization's most important dates?
