Its time to get comfortable disappointing people.
As an eldest daughter I was terrified of it. So I would go out of my way to make everyone happy... and it was always at the cost of myself.
I had to learn this the hard way:
You cant please everyone.
You are not cake.
You know who you are...I love seeing your faces.

Drop in classes on Tuesday and Friday from 11:15am to 12:15pm at Collaborarive Rabble, 607 Doherty Drive.
My favorite are fridays classes...full on Audhd weirdness and yoga.

The right people wont care if you bother them because to them you are a gift.
The fork has to be the right one or the "tism screams...
This is what self acceptance and being accommodating looks like in a healthy family. After a day of sensory overwhelm, I couldn't find a fork that would "work".
So my kid volunteered their fork.
Alot of people would say "suck it up" and I've heard it numerous times growing up as an undiagnosed autistic, but I know that attitude leads to harm. Thats why I give myself and my children acceptance and compassion to be who we are and it's made all the difference.

If you've been waiting for permission to call yourself something that doesn't exist yet this is it.
I spent years feeling like I was doing witchcraft wrong.
Like there was some checklist I hadn't finished. Some initiation I'd missed. Some coven that would finally tell me I was enough.
And underneath all of it was this quiet shame...what kind of witch doesn't feel connected to any of this?
The kind whose magic lives in her body.
In sensation. In feeling. In the knowing that moves through her before her mind can catch up.
I don't need the athame. I don't need the colored candles or the hierarchy or the script. Those things are beautiful for the women they're built for. They're just not built for me.
The moment I stopped trying to fit my medicine into someone else's container and said this is what witchcraft looks like in my body....that was the moment I actually became one.
Somatic witch. Body-led. Unapologetically mine.

Most women are trying to healing in the same conditions that they were hurt And then wondering why nothing changes.
I was in the same space. circling the same things. I journaled. I meditated. I could understand exactly what was wrong. but I couldn't change anything
and I was exhausted from knowing what the problem was and fighting myself to be a different version of me.
knowing that there was a healed version of me somewhere.
but knowing isn't the same as healing.
The wound doesn't live in your mind. It lives in your body. In your nervous system. In the biological memory of every woman in your lineage who learned to survive the same way you did.
You're not broken. You're healing in the wrong place.
The Embodied Return is that space.
