i used to think discipline meant being incredibly harsh on myself, forcing productivity, and waiting for that perfect, aesthetic wave of motivation to finally start. but motivation is a feeling, and feelings change.

realizing that i could easily overachieve for my boss or my friends, but struggled to keep a simple promise to myself was a massive wake-up call.
