What do I mean when I say it’s important to vet your makeup artist?💄

Take my bride here for example on the left is her before our bridal makeup application. She has naturally hooded eyes, and expressed to me that this would be something she wants to ensure is not accentuated!

You want to ensure as the artist that you create an open eye effect with the lashes. And nine time out of ten you’ll want to use a cluster to really build the look specific to her eye shape. Shadow was used to create a brighter, more open effect as well. Using minimal darkness in my shades,we created a gorgeous bright bronzey shadow look. You never want to do a winged liner on a hooded eye. Sometimes you have to be the one to tell your client no, that won’t look good. They don’t always love hearing no you can’t have that. As professionals we know best and have the experience and artistry to create something even more beautiful!
