Nowruz began as part of the ancient Zoroastrian religion over 3,000 years ago. This is celebrated by people from various cultures in many countries such as Turkey 🇹🇷 , Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 , Iran 🇮🇷 , Iraq 🇮🇶 and Afghanistan 🇦🇫 !

Here are some interesting facts about this celebration:
▫️Festivities typically last for 13 days between late March and early April; almost two weeks of joy and renewal- something truly special!
▫️This celebration is meant to be loud! Pots and pans banging, firecrackers popping – all this noise is to scare away bad spirits.
▫️Some people jump over fire to cleanse their spirit!
▫️Nowruz celebration includes setting a ceremonial table of 7 items to symbolize aspects of renewal. These change depending on the religion and culture of the region.

This celebration brings together diverse communities to embrace their culture, heritage and welcome the new year with open arms.
