Hi, It's Lisa of Lisawalsh.ca and owner of ISC Beauty. I wanted to let you know that when I started the ISC Beauty Self Care Lounge here in St. John's last year I wanted it to offer an experience like no other. This is your self-care destination where you can feel at home, nurtured and always cared for.
As a woman who has always been an entrepreneur for most of my life navigating menopause almost took me down personally and professionally. I knew I needed a change and it took quite some time to work through that process to be where I am now. The result is this special place where I get to meet clients and truly enjoy everyday to the fullest.
I want you to know if you are navigating the many challenges and changes of menopause and life after 50 "I see you because I am you." While I welcome everyone to the Lounge openheartedly, it is the woman over 50 that I created this space for.
Quietly I have re-invented myself and now I want to share that process with you. This course has so much materials, videos, e-books, journals and real information to help you feel better as you gracefully step into your next chapter.

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Itβs a time I find very special because my Father and Mother taught me to do something to improve myself for these forty days. Many people feel you must restrict yourself during this time, that is not so, ofcourse you can decide to remove something from your daily habits. I had an interesting conversation with a Priest many years ago as I was coming from that place of restriction. He gently said βLent is about building good habits that can sustain you through your life.β So my perspective was forever changed. I will add though that I had a chocolate addiction and successfully refrained from that vice for 40 days and I to this day do not crave chocolate anymore.
This year I am all about creating better nutrition for myself so I have decided I will have more whole food in my diet to make that my starting point daily. Today itβs a smoothie. Thankful for my health, strength and beautiful life I have created.
This smoothie has:
1/2 banana
1/4 cup milk
I lactose free yogurt
Handful of blueberries
Cup of spinach
1/4 cup orange juice
Scoop of greens powder
Frozen cherries and strawberries
One day at a time π
