My Story

I am a 22 year old Civil Engineer living in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador. August 2018 my life was turned upside down and I got lost in the events going on around me. My parents separated after 13 years together, I was still in University, my brother started College, my partner returned to College to pursue another career, and my mother was diagnosed with Cancer for the second time.

Fast forward to January of 2019 and I am still struggling to juggle all the new responsibilities that fell in my lap. My Senior Consultant, who was just an old friend from High School at the time invited me out for coffee. I was reluctant and thought “yeah, I like the product, but I won’t be joining Mary Kay.”

Little did I know that this was exactly what I needed. There was a lot going on in my life and I thought I was ‘busy”. I was not. I was overwhelmed because I was not taking control of my schedule and my life. So, February 1st 2019 I joined Mary Kay.

Mary Kay has brought me back to who I need to be. A woman who cares for others and empowers others. I am a now a Senior Consultant myself and I am grateful to wake up each day and see my Team thrive. My Unit is my support system and they have shown me a world of wonderful women who I did not know I desperately needed.
