90s brow out āœŒļø Hyperrealism Brows in šŸ‘‹

I’ve never really been someone who compares my work to other artists.

Not because I don’t appreciate all the beautiful talent I see online, but because I’ve always been more interested in creating my own style, learning where I can improve on my own work, and figuring out where I want to take my own artistry. I will attract the people who like my work, just as the next artist will attract the people who like theirs.

It’s really easy to compare ourselves to others online, whether that’s professionally, with our bodies, materialistically, or where we are in life. There’s so much truth to ā€œcomparison is the thief of joy.ā€

There’s so much noise in this industry when it comes to trends, techniques, opinions, and an endless stream of other people’s work. If I spent my time online comparing myself, that would take time away from building my business the way I want, truly knowing myself, and being confident in who I am.

The best thing any artist can do in this industry is focus on YOU and what you offer. Be proud of your style. And if you recognize that your work isn’t where you want it to be and you’re caught in a negative mindset of comparing, then learn more and practice.

Seven years in, I’m more inspired than ever by my own work and I’m perfectly happy staying in my own little lane 😘

Hyperrealism brows ✨ From start to finish. As you can see because I use very soft natural pigments they fade out quite abit after the first session. A second session is needed to go darker if the client wants and add more fine details to make them realistic.

Brows will never look like they do the first week. The skin grows over top the tattoo once healed creating a softer more natural look. These results will last 1-2 years before she’ll need a refresh.

Currently booking into February 2026. Thank you so much for all your support! If you’d like to book online, you can head over to www.coasttocoastbeauty.ca. šŸ¤Ž

I never set out to become a business owner. I just kept following the next best thing that felt right. I worked in everything from retail to restaurant to management to construction to different sectors in health care.

But when I look back I was always meant to lead. I was always working my way up and never stayed exactly where I started.

Then the lightbulb went off… I needed to become my own boss. That was the missing piece. Everything I had learned and accomplished for all those years set me up for success within Coast to Coast.

My little home studio in 2019 became a full business within the community here in PEI. One client turn into 2 turned into now 3000 wonderful clients 6-7 years later. I have tattooed over 3000 people 🤯 Insane to say that out loud!

I built my business without loans, credit cards or family help. It’s been messy, exhausting and one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

But I really fu***ng love being the woman behind it šŸ’‹

So many factors go into good and bad results when it comes to cosmetic tattooing.

āž”ļø Pigment selection: mineral vs carbon
āž”ļø The artists skill level
āž”ļø Clients skin type
āž”ļø Clients health/skin history
āž”ļø Sun exposure over the years
āž”ļø Aftercare

When it comes to machine work we shouldn’t be pinning techniques against each other for our own personal gain āœŒļø

I’m in the season of making my life feel like mine. šŸ¤Ž

A lot of you don’t know this about me, but I’ve lived a pretty nomadic life since I was a young child. I’ve probably lived in 60 different places across the six provinces I’ve called home.

Once I had my daughter, I remember thinking, Okay. We need to settle somewhere. We need to grow some roots. And that’s how we ended up in Prince Edward Island.

Another thing many of you don’t know is that we’ve been renting since we moved here in 2020.

For the past six years, I’ve poured so much of myself into my business and my craft. It became my first priority because I knew that once I could build a business that was stable, sustainable, and could run smoothly, I’d be ready to take the next step toward home ownership.

And now… we’ve just moved into what will be our last rental before I buy a home in the next few years. 🄹

And honestly? It feels really exciting.

Because this is what my journey was supposed to look like.

It wasn’t kids, marriage and buying a home in my 20s and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I want to be sure about who I choose to marry.

Having my daughter in my 30s allowed me to become a better mom than I would have been in my 20s.

Starting my business in my 30s allowed me to finally create the roots I had always wanted, but wasn’t ready for before.

And my 40s will bring me my first home.

I used to think I was behind because my life didn’t look like everyone else’s.

Now I realize I was never behind. I was just building a life on my own timeline.

None of our journeys are meant to look the same.

So embrace whatever yours is meant to be. There’s a reason for the timing, even when you can’t see it yet. šŸ¤Ž

Why I prefer laser over cover ups ā¬‡ļø

As you can see in the last two photos, this client came to me with previous work which we lasered off in two sessions before I performed Hyperrealism brows. If you go over old work it will look good short term but long term that old colour will always remain there because carbon based pigments were used and implanted too deeply.

New brows will ALWAYS look best on skin cleared of old pigment. There’s no exception to this rule. 6 years ago I may have performed cover ups before I had a laser or knew what I know now but we as artists are suppose to learn and grow and not just do what’s easiest. If the artist doesn’t have a laser they should be referring you to someone who does.

For this client in particular I chose to do laser because her previous shape was too big and blocky so we would have been able to see it unless I followed the exact shape which I was not going to do.

Laser isn’t as scary as you think it is! There is no open skin and no down time. For brows it takes about 20 seconds to do each side or less. You can wear makeup on them 24 hours later but we must let the area heal for 6 weeks before we can perform another session or apply new brows.

Reach out if you have some old work that needs removing whether it be face or body šŸ’›
