Today has been an incredibly tough day for me. As some of you may know, Kelsey, a truly special individual, has left us far too soon.
He was more than just a client to me - he was a cherished friend. Over the years, I've had the privilege of watching Braxton, his son, grow through regular haircuts that were always filled with laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments. I've been honored to be a part of Kelsey's life through various milestones, from relationships and friendships to significant life events and surgeries.
His latest battle, a pelvic surgery, was particularly heart-wrenching, but I was humbled to be able to cut his at home. I met his parents and felt like family. Without hesitation, I'd do it all over again for him. Kelsey embodied kindness, compassion, and the truest form of friendship. His passing has left me with profound sadness and shock.
Kelsey, I'm deeply sorry you're gone, but I know you deserve the utmost celebration.
To Braxton, know I'm here for you, always.
Let's honor Kelsey's love for the Oilers by putting our sticks on the doorstep - I'll be thinking of you today and forever, on the rink and in spirit.
Rest in peace, Kelsey Kerr.
