Did you know breast milk is naturally low in vitamin D? ☀️🍼

That’s why the Canadian Paediatric Society recommends vitamin D supplementation for breastfed infants, starting soon after birth. Vitamin D plays an important role in healthy bone growth, calcium absorption, and overall development.

Current Canadian recommendations:
• Breastfed or partially breastfed babies: 400 IU vitamin D daily

One tiny drop each day can help prevent vitamin D deficiency and rickets in growing babies 🤍

Some nights, it’s not just about getting help.

“Am I doing this right?”

At SuperNurse, our overnight nurses don’t just care for your baby, they provide evidence-based guidance, clinical reassurance, and support for parents navigating the newborn stage in real time.

🚨 Baby p**p red flags 🚨

Most newborn p**p is normal—but call your doctor if you see:
• White/pale/clay stool
• Black stool after week 1
• Blood in stool

Watch for:
• Hard, pebble-like p**p
• Watery diarrhea + poor feeding/fewer wet diapers
• No p**p in first 48h (full-term)
• Fever ≥38°C, green vomiting, swollen belly
• Poor feeding or low energy

💡 Take a photo if you’re unsure—it helps your provider assess quickly.

👶 Not sure what’s normal? Book a consult with our pediatric nurses via the link in bio.
