The Day is Done. It’s Time to Snooze. 🌙✨
Soothe & Snooze, our newest evening ritual oil designed for that quiet window between a busy day and a restful night.
Combine the physical benefits of skin nourishment with the psychological benefits of a slow, meditative massage to help you "drift" into a quiet state.
We’ve blended handcrafted lavender and chamomile infusions into organic base of jojoba, grapeseed, olive and castor oils. Unlike thin oils that disappear instantly, our formula has a smooth, lasting glide—encouraging you to slow down and enjoy a purposeful massage before you drift off.
A mellow blend of lavender, chamomile, sweet orange, patchouli and vetiver, it’s designed to help you settle into a restful mood.
Why you’ll love it:
🌿 Mellow & Muted: A soft, earthy scent for a restful mood.
🌿 Clean & Honest: 100% plant-based with no synthetic fillers.
🌿 Handcrafted: Made in small batches right here in Canada.
Whether it’s a gift for yourself or a loved one who needs a little more "calm" in their nightly routine, Soothe & Snooze is ready to join your bedside table.

Harvesting St. John's Wort is one of the favourite summer highlights. The sunny blooms catch and hold the golden light of midsummer, petals glowing against the backdrop of tall grasses, wild raspberry bushes and buzzing bees.
As I gather them, their faint, herbal scent rises: earthy, slightly sweet and sunbaked, mingling with the scent of clovers, milkweed and warm soil. Fingers are soon stained with the red-purple of its precious oil, released from the tiny black dots along the buds - a vivid sign of it potency.
This is plant medicine at its most radiant: gathered in rhythm with the light, infused with care, and carried forward into oils and balms that hold a little midsummer sun through the dark seasons.

A wonderful self-care strategy to help a nasal congestion and start breathing easier right away. 100% natural and no special equipment required, the herbal steaming has been used for thousands of years.
Sage, rosemary, evergreens, eucalyptus combined with the steam from boiling water can do wonders to help soothe the swollen nasal tissues and thin out the mucus. These herbs are naturally decongestant and expectorant. Their fragrant vapours also smell amazing!
Combine equal parts of each herb to make about 2 tablespoons with about 1 litre of water. Drape a large towel over your head and the bowl, allowing the steam to rise up onto your face. Keep your face about 6 inches away from the water and steam for 5-7 minutes or however long you can manage.
Steaming also opens up pores, remove dirt, oils, and even blackheads. It increases circulation and allows better skincare product pe*******on. In part, this is why we apply moisturizers after showering rather than before, right?
Let me know if you try it!

Skincare is one of the pillars of good health.
While we can’t avoid all environmental toxins, we can take the steps to relieve the chemical load we subject ourselves to through using mass produced conventional products.
These toxins can wreck havoc on our hormone system and affect gut microbiome that directly correlate with skin health.
If transitioning to cleaner beauty is on your New Year’s resolution list, start slowly - you don’t need to do a complete overhaul of the products you’re currently using.
The easiest way to switch your skincare routine is to gradually replace one product at a time when you run out of it. A lip balm for example is a good place to start as it literally ends up in your mouth. A truly natural deodorant would be my next one on the list.
Try to replace products that spend the most time on your skin and not something you wash off after a minute like a face cleanser.
Eventually the good will outweigh the not-so-good. Your body will respond better to ingredients it can naturally recognize. You will also soon realize you don’t need as many products as before!

Marshmallow Root Chia and Flaxseed Pudding with Raspberry Jam 😋
Feeling extra dry? Mucilaginous (gel-like) foods to the rescue!
In addition to combining the wholesome goodness of chia and flaxseeds, this pudding incorporates the natural soothing properties of marshmallow root to feed the skin from inside out. Lightly sweetened and topped with a vibrant, tangy raspberry jam, it’s the perfect harmony of flavours and textures!
Ingredients:
marshmallow infusion:
-3/4 cup filtered water
-1 heaping tablespoon of marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis)
raspberry jam:
-1.5 cup raspberries (fresh, or frozen and thawed)
-2 tablespoons maple syrup
pudding:
-3/4 cups coconut milk
-3/4 cup marshmallow infusion
-1/4 cup chia seed
-1/4 cup flaxseed meal
-1/4 cup natural yoghurt

Cooler days are perfect for cozy moments, but they can also leave your body feeling a little tense!
Luckily, there’s a simple, often overlooked, way to gently melt away the day’s tension. Herbal oils are a perfect seasonal companion, helping to soothe and relax when you’re ready to unwind after a chilly day.
Herbal oils are a natural, nurturing way to care for muscles and joints as they soothe tension, moisturize, nourish and uplift. The oils in this blend also deliver gentle natural warmth to bring comfort for that little extra TLC. 🌸✨
In Ache Away Herbal Oil blend, I’ve combined 4 of my handcrafted super potent herbal oil infusions of calendula, St. John’s Wort, goldenrod, rosemary & a blend of essential oils known to alleviate muscle soreness and ease nervous tension.
This is a great blend to reach for after a strenuous day, overexercising, or just wanting to support muscle comfort through typical wear and tear. More details with a full ingredient list is here https://nurtur.ca/products/ache-away-herbal-body-oil

Throughout the day, our skin is exposed to environmental pollutants, dust, and bacteria. We can let our skin breathe so much better if we remove make-up and cleanse our face as soon as we come home!
Cleansing helps remove impurities that if left on skin for too long, can trap dirt and oil and contribute to skin irritation. Free radicals from pollution can also damage skin cells, accelerating aging. Cleansing helps remove these harmful substances and keeps the skin looking youthful and fresh.
Cleansing is a wonderful form of self-care. Taking time to remove the day’s grime and stress helps promote relaxation and a feeling of well-being.
Oil cleansing is my favourite way to cleanse skin. You can download my Oil Cleansing Guide through the link in my profile.
Paired with a gentle, non-foaming cleanser, face mask and toner this method does wonders for achieving that glowing skin!

I love seeing bees buzzing through the gardens, parks and meadows during this time of the year! I hope the pollinators will thrive for generations to come and that’s why I choose my beeswax supplier carefully.
The local, organic Canadian beeswax I use is of superior quality and retains more of its natural properties in the products. It wonderfully protects your skin, but also requires less transportation and is fully traceable.
By choosing products made with local beeswax, we support local beekeepers who play a crucial role in maintaining healthy bee populations and ecosystems. Bees are essential pollinators, and their health impacts the broader environment.

St. John’s Wort flowers are in bloom again! It’s the only flower I infuse fresh to extract the medicinal, ruby red compound hypericin into the carrier oil and then combine it with local, Canadian beeswax and a bit of lavender essential oil.
The SJW salve is wonderful for sore skin, can be used as a massage or bath oil and brings much relief to overworked and stiff muscles.
This reddish colored salve is much sought after in herbal medicine cabinet and is now back in stock!

A cookie and a granola bar in one, these banana granola cookies are my perfect snack to accompany an afternoon cup tea or a part of a light evening meal with some yogurt and fresh berries. High of complex carbohydrates and full of nutrition, they’re lovely as a post workout snack and in lunch boxes!
Being gluten-free for a long time, I too often rely on nuts, oats, rice flour and a generous amount of coconut oil for baking. These cookies use none of these, but instead use wholesome, mineral-rich tigernut and buckwheat flours, and olive oil which is primarily a monounsaturated fat.
No equipment is needed - just 2 bowls are required: for wet and dry ingredients each!
