How Can You Prepare for Microneedling?
The goal is to ensure that your skin is in as calm a state as possible prior to this treatment. Patients will need to avoid certain medications, such as ones that are used for acne treatment and avoid using any harsh topical products like retinols before having microneedling treatments. Avoid over-exfoliating or over-drying your skin for up to seven days following microneedling. Patients who have active cold sores, sunburns, dermatitis, or other skin conditions in the treatment area should not have microneedling.
