Last weekend we hosted our first ever retail pop-up experience on the busy streets of Downtown Toronto.

Turning our online store to a physical location was a milestone moment for our entire community. We brought a fun vibe with us by offering music, an on-site barber, photography, beer, and more.

Our story began amidst the pandemic when founder, Vinny Sehravat, ran out of beard oil after growing an unusually long beard. This is when he quickly realized most beard products are “one size fits all”.

Vinny surveyed 100 bearded men on Instagram to ask them if they have faced the same realization, and then created a blend by aggregating their survey responses. This is how MANETAINED by Build a Beard Company was born.

Vinny began posting his e-commerce journey on Instagram daily to inspire the entrepreneurial spirit during the pandemic. Followers voted through each stage of building MANETAINED. They participated in 13 polls, over a 15 week period.
