The thing about having these one on ones with my barbers is we get to really understand where each barber is exceeding and where they need help. And it allows you as the shop owner to provide them the guidance they need to overcome those problems. one topic that’s ALWAYS hard for barbers is increasing prices and maintaining relationships with clients.

No one likes price increases but the reality is we live in a world where things are continuously getting more expensive. And as a business owner we fight 2 battles. 1) where we have to keep up with basic inflation year after year and 2) growing our business and income.

No one wants to make the same income for the rest of their life and that’s a fact. Instead of shying away from these conversations, let’s educate barber and clients. Let’s provide value as barbers so clients don’t feel taken advantage of and let’s inform clients that just as you would like a raise in your income, barbers would too.
And we raise prices based on numbers with a system. We aren’t just shooting in the dark.
