The sun protection factor (SPF) is another important factor to consider when selecting a sunscreen. The SPF indicates how long the sunscreen will protect the skin from UVB rays compared to how long it would take for the skin to burn without any protection. For example, an SPF 30 sunscreen will provide 30 times the protection against sunburn compared to not wearing any sunscreen.
