An exhibition hosted at Design Exchange, Canada’s design museum explores the evolution of sportswear and uncovers how technology, fashion, nature, and culture have contributed to the rapid innovative growth of athletic clothing, equipment, and wearables. Maharishi upcycled pieces feature in the section dedicated to garments inspired by nature and sit alongside swimsuits covered in patterns which are designed either as a camouflage specifically attuned to the visual spectrum of a shark or a “Dazzle” type pattern which disorientates the shark’s perception of where the wearer is and which direction they are swimming in.
