$Spy had cleannn price action today and it just came down to a matter of patience🚶🏽‍♀️⠀

$Spy made a strong move in the morning then dropped to 368.60ish level after the first hour...A clear level from yesterday and not far off of yesterday’s close. ⠀

After retesting and confirming this level was support, it made its way back up to high of day. Because this level was held, it told us buyers were strong here and not willing to let the sellers win the fight. ⠀

Then cleannn break out at high of day level $370.85⠀
⠀
Scalping off of key levels on a break up or down is my favorite way to trade. You can trade SPY or SPX this way but SPX is less liquid. I like SPX when we have solid momentum because it usually presents the opportunity for way higher gains. Also personally, it mentally feels better to be in a trade with 10-20 contracts than 200 contracts. Check out how SPX moves when you get a chance!⠀

Today was an exciting day in the market compared to how things have been recently. It’s summer, things are slower, traders are on vacation☀️🌊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This week has been interesting and after Powell’s speech Tuesday we saw stocks continue to rally. There were a few parabolic stocks this week and SPY hit all time highs. $CEI, $SOLY and $IMUX were all amazing plays and if you played right, they were super profitable! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was busy yesterday so I was in the green about $50 but green is green! Today I traded more than I have in a while but i made out pretty well and was actually pretty conservative. My best play today was probably $IMUX short. I bought 1000 shares short around $18 when I saw it had a tough time staying over 18 after hitting $19&change. Stress free trade down to $16$change. How did I anticipate this move??.....price action and volume 🤓📈📊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The market opened up red today which overall made me think today could be bearish, at least in the morning. We’ve seen this stock squeeze and push up $20-$30 in a day so when it wants to move, it will move. There was a tiny push up in the first min but then shorts and sellers came in aggressive from the gate. About a $5 drop within the first five mins.
We’ve seen that $152 has previously been an important level and between bulls and bears...only one side will win. 🐻🐻 Bears won the morning rush. I got in at $152 exactly and was out at $148.10. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s currently still struggling between $150(psychological number) and $152(critical level)

“I’d like to trade Roku if the opportunity presents itself. This stock has lots of eyes on it lately. And then yesterday after adding Apple TV, the stock ran $13 with barely any pullbacks. I’m familiar with Roku since it has been on my WL for a while. So what I’ll do is create a plan for if it goes up or down. I’ll buy puts/short it if I see sellers aggressively selling under yesterday’s high. I anticipate it falling through or bouncing off of the $130 level (psychological #). If # buyers show up with some heat, I’m in long watching the $137ish level to $140. This way no matter what happens I have a plan that the reward seems to overpower the risk and there is no bias or speculation. Watch the price action and volume. “ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So yeah, saw doubt kicking in premarket, snagged some puts a little after the open, then added some totaling 30. My contracts shot up over a dollar within 5 mins, and I exited. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What is relative strength? ⠀

Relative strength is super important to understand especially on a day like today.⠀
⠀
How strong or weak are stocks when the market dips hundreds of points ? Are we entering a bear market? What moving average are we headed to ? Panic sets in and people sell at the bottom only for the snipers to buy that dip and ride it back up!⠀

This morning SPX was down over 100 points meanwhile Amazon barely dipped. Some stocks still held key levels even with a major drop....one we haven’t seen happen overnight in a bit.⠀

And then just a few hours later we’re right back up! Near the previous days close. This market is STRONG! ⠀
⠀
Don’t fight it until you actually see weakness. This coming from a bear at heart 🐻⠀

Lately every dip is bought, this tells us something !
When every pop is sold, that is when to start thinking we could be headed in the opposite direction. ⠀

Take note of flow, where people are placing their bets, leave cash to hedge if need be and give yourself time. ⠀
⠀
So many people getting so caught up on the immediate trend and moves and forming a bias and you are missing some great buy/sell opportunities. ⠀
