Photos Matter:
Celebrating moments big and small, capturing and sharing images of people, places and things, both joyous and sad - photography can enlighten, tell the stories of and communicate with people around the globe.
A photograph can give the viewer a moment to pause and reflect in what is an often too fast moving world.
As a photographer, collaborating with and creating images of people and who they are, what they do, and how they impact the world around them is my passion. Photos matter to me.

The Bionic Ballerina Part 2
Rebekah Rimsay, acclaimed dancer with The National Ballet of Canada photographed for the Humber River Hospital magazine.
Suffering a near career ending injury during a performance in 2019, Rebekah underwent total hip replacement surgery performed by Dr. Sebastian Rodriguez-Elizalde & his team at HRH in June 2021 & was back performing three months later.
The 1st image here is the one featured in the HRH magazine. The 2nd image is one of my favourite outtakes capturing Rebekah’s playful enthusiasm & her amazing smile!

Freeze Mode = Beast Mode!
For a recent shoot of a ballet dancer we needed to freeze motion. In order to accomplish this we powered up our mighty Profoto B1X and gave freeze mode a try. Having never used this function before we were very curious to see the results. As you can see in the test shot the B1X (pretty sure the “B” stands for “Beast”) handled this with ease.
