When it comes to compromised skin, sometimes less truly is more.
This client is currently on Accutane, which has left her skin extremely dry, sensitized and reactive. Even traditional facial massage would have created unnecessary friction, so today was intentionally focused on barrier support rather than stimulation.
We started with a very gentle enzyme exfoliation to lightly lift surface buildup without any aggressive mechanical exfoliation, followed by deep hydration and an Esthemax PDRN Jelly Mask to soothe, replenish and support the skin’s recovery.
The goal was never to do more. It was to do exactly what her skin could tolerate today.
When the barrier is compromised, respecting its current condition matters just as much as the treatment itself. Sometimes less really is best.
