People always ask what I actually eat… and honestly?

What I really really want is something simple and fast, especially on a weekday.

I just make sure it tastes really good!

Lately I’ve been putting this chili oil on everything and it completely transforms a meal.

We’re talking:
cold tofu → sudden flavour burst 😍
greens → actually craveable💪
tacos → next level🔥

It’s not just spicy — the lemongrass gives it this bright, almost citrusy depth that makes everything taste so alive.

And on days when you’re tired, hungry, and don’t want to think? Having a way to make nourishing simple meals easy, that's what really matters.

Because nourishing yourself shouldn’t feel like a whole production.

Sometimes it’s just:
good ingredients + 5 minutes = done

Tell me, what would you add this to?? Leave your inspirational comment✨

(Also, shoutout to the brilliant woman behind this brand 👏)

And thanks to for this game changing find! ❤️❤️

There’s something really special that happens when you gather around a table with intention.

This past weekend, we hosted our first “Bring Your Own Story” supper club 🤍

Each bringing a dish… and the story behind it.

Some were rooted in culture,
some in comfort,
some in healing,
and some were just simple, everyday favourites.

And that was the point.

Because food has never just been about nutrients or what’s “healthy”—
it’s how we connect, how we remember, how we share parts of ourselves.

What stood out most wasn’t just the food (although it was all so delicious)…
it was how quickly we humans became something more. As the connection grows, we feel grounded, safer, braver, to be vulnerable, real, open, - and that leads to even deeper connection. A beautiful cycle repeats, and this is how we strengthen over time 💪

This is the kind of space I’ve been wanting to create more of.
Where we can actually practice what we talk about—
connection, nourishment, community.

And this felt like a really beautiful start.

Thank you to everyone who came to share their story and beautiful energy🙏

If this speaks to you, I’d love to have you at the next one ✨

Inspired by a case on The Pitt — where excess curcumin led to a woman literally turning yellow.

Her intake didn’t sound alarming (just 5 capsules every day... lol), until you translated it into food: roughly 1 cup of fresh turmeric root per day. Something your body would never tolerate in real life.

Turmeric is intense, bitter, earthy, so strong 🔥

Eating food comes with feedback — taste, smell, fullness — all guiding you toward enough. Capsules don’t.

We see this beyond turmeric, too. Vitamin D, iron, and other nutrients are essential, but easy to overdo when taken in isolation.

A simple reminder: your body isn’t meant to be bypassed. It’s meant to be listened to.

Have you ever noticed when your body tells you you've had enough?

I Bought myself tulips this week 🌷 (and thanks to 's funny + fiery book)

Not because I achieved something.

Just because I’m trying to practice something
that doesn’t come naturally to me—being kind to myself in small, consistent ways.

I spend a lot of time thinking about health and how we nourish our bodies from a biological perspective.

But as I continue to evolve as practitioner and human, I am learning to address the parts of us that can't be seen. Those parts unseen, but still need to be cared for in a deliberate and thoughtful way.

No milestone required.❤️

Be kind to yourself 🙏

It tastes awful… but it works.

If you grew up with Buckley’s cough syrup, you already understand the concept 😅

There’s a traditional Japanese food that fits this energy perfectly: natto.

Slimy. Stringy. Very… unfamiliar.
And yet, one of the most powerful foods for bone health.

Natto is the richest natural source of vitamin K2 (MK-7) — a nutrient that helps direct calcium into bones, where we actually want it.

These are the exact areas that matter most when it comes to falls + aging well.

And considering falls are the #1 cause of accidental death in North America… this is worth paying attention to.

It’s also part of a bigger picture — Japan has one of the lowest hip fracture rates among industrialized nations, likely influenced by higher soy intake, fish consumption, and lower overall inflammation.

Now, real talk:
It’s kind of the Buckley’s of food.

Habitual intake means 4 times a week (not even daily!)

But here’s the good news — taste is trainable.
We get new taste buds every ~10 days, and it takes about 10 exposures to start liking something new.

So if you’re curious:
🥚 try it with eggs
🍚 mix it into rice/ fried rice style, maybe even top with kimchi + green onions to cut the bitter slime... (maybe TMI, but I want to be honest with you here!)
🍲 or add it to miso soup/ stews/ curry.

Start small. Stay curious 🤓

And if you’re on blood thinners, check with your provider first 🤍

Would you try it… or is this a hard no? 👇

White antioxidant?!
Yup, white unprocessed foods may not get the attention, but they are like light, incorporating all the beauty of the 🌈

Eating healthy should be tasty.

This is my homemade shakshuka recipe where I've tailored it to hit 2/3 of the biggest anti-inflammatory food categories. 🙌

I am noticing that cooking is becoming a lost skill, and that's not our fault. Food from outside has been too convenient to grab and go, and the amount of salt, sugar and fat that hits our taste buds in such an addicting way it's become unfair and numbing.

So try this recipe out, and feel free to swap out different veggies/ herbs/ spices that your taste buds prefer. Make it yummy for you, tasting as you go. This is how you can grow your chef skills, one recipe at a time.

-1 medium onion diced
-2 cloves garlic minced
-1/2 tsp salt + black pepper
-2 tsp freshly ground ground cumin
-1 tsp smoked paprika
-1/2 tsp anise
-10 mushrooms sliced
-1/2 bunch tuscan kale
-1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
-1 tsp turmeric
-2 tbsp nutritional yeast

Directions:
-On medium heat, sautée your onion, garlic in some olive oil for 2-3 minutes until translucent
-Add spices and sautée for 30 more seconds(leave turmeric to the end - pro tip I learned is that it loses it's flavour when it's fried/ overcooked)
-Add your veggies and sauté 5 min
-Add tomatoes, and turmeric, and let everything simmer for 10 min
-Once things are moving and bubbling crack eggs into any pattern you find fun.
-cover and let cook for 7 minutes, or until your desired level of cooked.
-Top with nutritional yeast if you like.
-Enjoy with your fave sourdough, or as pasta topper or even have leftovers cold over salad or in quinoa bowls.

Remember, herbs + spices aren’t just meant to sit forgotten in your spice drawer — they’re your most potent gut, skin, brain & muscle healing medicine.

Your pro-tip: season like you mean it 🌶

For me, food isn’t about restriction—it’s about choosing the things that help me feel alive, playful, and ready for more adventures outdoors. 🤩

Every meal is a chance to elevate quality of life… so I can keep camping, laughing, and loving the beautiful little moments.

Coffee tastes better when it comes with connection.

This morning I had the joy of sitting down with Pete Bombaci from  to talk about one of the most overlooked pillars of health: human connection.

Face-to-face time nourishes us just as much as food does. Sharing a coffee, a meal, or even a quick chat reminds us that health isn’t just about what’s on our plate—it’s also about who’s at the table with us.

Let’s never underestimate the power of coffee & connection for our health and happiness. ❤️

Pete, I'm always so pumped by your enthusiasm and brave initiative to spread such vital knowledge. Excited for the growth and adventures to come. We've got some fun ideas in the pipeline 😁

Congratulations again on becoming recognized by the ! 🙌

Back in my hometown, under the shade of my grandfather’s fig trees — planted decades ago, still feeding our family, friends, and curious neighbours who wander over for “just one.”

Figs aren’t just sweet, they’re ancient medicine:
🌿 Gut-loving fiber
💪 Iron & minerals for energy
🦴 Bone-supporting calcium

This is what real health looks like to me — food that nourishes, connects, and sparks joy.

No pill can match the magic of sharing fresh figs right off the tree. 🍃💜

How I eat mine: straight up, on chia pudding with blueberries & Brazil nuts, or with goat cheese on pizza when feeling fancy.

💊Another supplement? Or maybe… another raspberry!🍓

A controversial take from your local naturopath, but hear me out:

✨ You really don’t need a cupboard full of capsules to be healthy. ✨

I love to focus on the foundations of health first:
🥗 Whole foods
😴 Quality sleep
🚶‍♀️ Movement
🧠 Social connection

Nature is so smart, and packs a lot of your multivitamin—into food.

Take raspberries. They’ve got C, K, B vitamins, magnesium, iron, fiber, and more... all in one juicy delicious package. 🍓💥

My first stop is guiding patients to build their health from their foundations first. It's pretty amazing what our bodies & brains can do when we support the foundations, and learn how we can use supplements a little more sparingly, and strategically .

Thriving health doesn't start from a bottle, it starts with what’s on our plate.🤤
