Let's talk about the “window of tolerance” is like the zone where your brain and body feel just right—kind of like the middle of a thermometer where it’s not too hot and not too cold. When you’re in this window, you can think clearly, talk to people, and handle feelings like being sad, mad, or worried without them taking over.
But sometimes we go outside of the window. If we go above the window, it’s like our engine is running too fast. We might feel really angry, scared, or full of energy we can’t control. If we go below the window, it’s like our engine is moving too slow. We might feel frozen, numb, or like we don’t care about anything.
Everyone’s window is a little different—sometimes big, sometimes small—and it can change depending on how safe, loved, and calm we feel. The good news is we can use tools to stay in our window, like deep breathing, talking to someone we trust, or doing something that makes us feel safe and happy. Staying in our window helps us feel balanced, learn better, and connect with other people.
Will be on vacation for August! See you in September 🏝️
Too often we dumb ourselves down or hide ourselves away. Thinking we're too much. Honey, if they can't take your brightness they can get shades! ❤️

✨ Understanding Johari’s Window ✨
Ever heard of a tool that helps you grow self-awareness AND improve relationships? That’s Johari’s Window!
Johari’s Window is a psychological model developed by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham in 1955. It helps people understand how they see themselves vs. how others see them.
This tool is important because it supports personal growth and emotional intelligence!
You can’t grow what you don’t know. When you know yourself better, you show up better.
Johari’s Window reminds us: self-awareness isn't just personal—it's relational.
Try filling out the blank window (provided) and see what you learn about you!

Sometimes we confuse self-sacrifice with obedience. We say things like "I'll sleep when I'm dead", "leave not for tomorrow what can be accomplished today", "those who don't work don't eat"
But even Jesus rested.
He withdrew from the crowds. He said no.
You don’t have to break yourself to prove you're faithful.
God’s plan includes your restoration, not your depletion.
Rest is a holy commandment. Rest is revolutionary.
Don’t let hustle culture wear the halo in your life. ⛅

As a child, your reactions weren’t “too much”—they were honest.
If you cried easily, clung tightly, or shut down—it wasn’t weakness. It was survival.
You were navigating a world that didn’t make space for your emotions.
And now? You’re allowed to reparent yourself with gentleness.
You’re allowed to be held. To be heard. To be soft without fear.
Your sensitivity wasn’t the problem. The lack of safety was.
Do not undermine your achievements. Things that may feel like second nature such as brushing your teeth or taking out your garbage are actually self-care achievements that build mastery over time! You're doing sooo much better than you know!

Sometimes the ache is sharp.
Sometimes it’s just… dull and heavy.
Grief doesn’t follow rules—it follows love.
When I lost a loved one I once asked God "how long will I grieve?" I realized the answer is "for as long as the person is gone."
The more deeply you loved, the longer the echoes will live in your bones.
And that’s okay.
Grief is sacred. It doesn’t need to be rushed.
Cry when you need. Rest when you can.
You’re not weak. You’re just still loving something that was real.
Even though they are no longer here life is still worth living.

Ever struggle to name what you're feeling? 🧠💔 That’s where the Feelings Wheel comes in. Created by psychologist Dr. Gloria Willcox, the Feelings Wheel is a simple but powerful tool that helps us move beyond just "mad," "sad," or "fine"—and dive into deeper, more specific emotions like “powerless,” “insecure,” or “peaceful.”
Why does that matter? Because you can’t heal what you can’t name. 🌱
Being able to identify your emotions builds self-awareness, improves communication, and gives you the power to respond instead of react. 🗣️🧘🏽♀️
Start using the Feelings Wheel and watch your emotional vocabulary—and emotional intelligence—grow. 💡🌀

I think we can all agree that at times it feels as if our culture is descending to madness. But what if we're completely correct?

IMO Canada’s drug strategy walks a fine line between compassion and contradiction.
On paper, we’re moving toward a public approach—but in practice, the system is heavily flawed. B.C. made headlines for decriminalizing drug possession, only to reverse course under pressure. Ontario's ( 's) refusal to expand overdose prevention sites leaves communities scrambling. Meanwhile, thousands are dying, and frontline workers are stretched thin.
Canada's opioid crisis is the deadliest in the world next to the United States, however, our spending on mental health addictions and substance use still sits at around 6% of our overall healthcare budget- half of the recommended 12% (CMHA)
We need to be honest: neither criminalization nor neglect will solve the opioid crisis. Harm reduction isn’t a radical idea—it’s a life-saving necessity. But so is accountability, data-driven policy, and a willingness to admit when programs fail. Further, Health Canada projects that nearly 5,000 people will die by mid-2025 of overdose.
This isn’t about being “soft” or “tough” on drugs. It’s about being smart, ethical, and human.
I can't be the only one tired of political theatre. We need to invest in what works—because real lives are on the line.
