This beautiful client Allanah came in today and shared her alopecia journey with me. I had recalled awhile back that I was thinking about getting an IUD for birth control and was asking the other artists at my studio if they had any experience or thoughts about implanting one. One of our artists told me that one of her friends developed alopecia suddenly and had been going through it for a few years. For a completely unrelated reason, she had to take her IUD out and her hair seemed to miraculously grow back soon afterwards. When she looked back, she realized that her alopecia developed soon after putting her IUD in. Needless to say, I decided not to opt for an IUD and shared this story with Allanah and she realized it started around the same time she got her IUD!
