Mamasita…💕

It’s what I call this woman in a sweet loving way.
When I started calling her this she said to me “you know that’s Spanish not Italian” I said “correct, maybe you were Spanish in your past life 😆”

She truly became my Mom over the twenty years we have known each other, the love grew, she is always there for me.

I love her with all my heart.
She makes me smile.
She makes me laugh.
She’s old school in the best way.
She makes the best damn Italian food there is.

Speak from your heart.
Be your own advocate.
Meditate.
Be authentic in your actions.
Go for walk.
Feel love in your heart.
Be loving.
Crack jokes.
Bake.
Garden.
Just say it!
And don’t hold it in.

When I was in my twenties I had this thought about people over thirty - they were sooooo old.
My babcia was old.
My dad was old.
My mom was old.
I felt invincible, young and beautiful.
I was allowed (in my mind) to make mistakes, act stupid (no regrets), I was fearless and just wanted to have fun.
I yielded so much power with my body and knew it, I was a temptress.
I took what I wanted when I wanted.
I danced through life.
I was chaos.
I was learning about myself.
I was trying on different roles.
I thought I knew what I wanted, only to learn that I did not want the thing I desired.

I love that girl.
I love all her craziness and courage and fierce energy.
I love how much she loved.
She was passion.

Today I look back and hold my space here and now and I love where I am.
I love my life.
I am so happy to be here with all that I have learned.
I love me.
I’m excited to see where life will take me.
I feel so blessed.

I like me at forty nine.
