I'm Eva Guenter and I am beyond excited to have my own hair salon! I am a licensed hairstylist and have been doing hair for the past 15 years, a year and a half of which I also spent managing as well as styling at The Edge Salon in Winkler. Steph's dream wedding hair was my signature high bun and it made me so happy to do it for her big day!
Her hair was a medium texture with some wave and a bit of frizz.
After her trial she said the only thing she wanted differently was to change the bun to be more flat on top rather than loopy. I'm always looking to improve the style from the trial to the wedding day, and after looking at the pictures we took that day, I knew I also wanted to smooth out some frizz on the sides and tighten up her hair in the nape.
I'm totally in love with her final look! Her hair, her makeup (by Ashley Ashley Perry ), the dress and flowers, all of it!! 😍 I think seeing the whole look come together is my favourite part of the wedding morning. 😊

It's so easy to get caught up in all the wedding planning details, the hair, the dress, the flowers, the venue... the list could go on and on. But in the process make sure that you don't forget the whole reason you're getting married in the first place. It's the life that you'll build together! All of the moments, the trips, everyday life that you do together, building your life around faith and family. That's what your marriage is all about.
Today my husband and I are celebrating 16 amazing years of marriage. We were high school sweethearts and yes, we were babies when we got married, but being able to grow up together has been the most wonderful blessing and I thank God everyday for the incredible husband and Dad that he is in our lives.
So as you're going through your wedding planning details, take a moment to pause and just think about the future and why you're getting married. You want to spend the rest of your life with this person. Through the good times, the hard times and everything in between. This is your person, and you can't wait to do life every single day with them! ❤️
Money Piece and Gloss for the win! I spent my morning getting Cyrus all ready for grad week coming up! She'd had highlights done 3 months ago and wanted to keep a lived in look, so we decided to just do her halo and a gloss to tone out any brassiness. By foiling around her entire hairline, her whole colour looks fresh, especially when she wears it up (which she does 90% of the time), and it keeps everything looking bright when she pulls her hair forward. Often if you only get the hair in your front hairline lightened, it leaves what I call a "black hole" underneath. The hair behind your ears and in your nape actually makes a big impact!! That's why I offer the Halo and Gloss as a great option for in between full foil appointments.
