Your bridal hairstylist is about more than just the hairstyle. 🤍
Of course, you want to love your hair.
But on your wedding day, you also want to feel heard, understood and taken care of.
You want someone who asks the right questions.
✨What do you normally feel most confident wearing?
✨What makes you feel like you?
✨What are you worried about?
✨What did you save on Pinterest that you love… and what did you save just because it was pretty?
Because sometimes the hairstyle you think you want isn’t actually the hairstyle that makes you feel the most like yourself.
That’s where the conversation matters.
Your trial isn’t just about creating a pretty hairstyle. It’s about figuring out what feels right for you.
And on your wedding day?
My goal is for you to sit in my chair, take a breath and know you’re in good hands.
Because you deserve to feel beautiful.
But more importantly, you deserve to feel like yourself. 🤍
That’s the kind of bridal experience I want to create at Styled by Her Legacy.
Becoming Her starts with feeling confident enough to be exactly who you are.

Some seasons will stretch you. Some will humble you. Some will make you question everything.
And then there are the seasons where you realize…
you’re still here. 🤍
I’ve had the highs.
I’ve had the really hard lows.
I’ve started over, doubted myself, changed direction, picked myself back up and kept going.
Not because I always knew what I was doing.
Because somewhere along the way, I learned that becoming who you’re meant to be doesn’t happen when life is perfect.
It happens when you keep choosing yourself even when life feels messy.
If you’re a woman in your 30s or 40s who feels like you’ve spent years taking care of everyone else, figuring life out, and somewhere along the way lost pieces of yourself…
I see you.
Maybe this is your season to start finding her again.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to keep going.
This is the heart behind Becoming Her. ✨

One year in this space. 🤍
And when I look around, I don’t just see a salon space.
I see every version of me that got me here.
I started in my basement, with a dream that felt a lot bigger than the space I was working in.
Then came a curveball I definitely didn’t plan for… a move to my condo.
And now, somehow, here I am — one year into having my own studio space inside Incognito Salon.
There were SO many moments along the way where self-doubt was louder than the dream.
Moments where I wondered if I was actually capable of building the business I kept envisioning.
But becoming Her has taught me something…
You don’t become confident and then take the leap.
You take the leap, figure it out, doubt yourself, keep going, learn, grow… and somewhere along the way, you realize you’ve become the woman you were waiting to feel like.
This space represents more than where I work.
It represents growth.
Resilience.
Taking chances.
Starting over.
And choosing myself and my dream, even when I wasn’t completely sure how it would all work out.
One year here.
So many chapters behind me.
And I know there are so many more ahead. ✨
Here’s to continuing to become Her. 🤍

My 3 heat-styling go-tos 🤍✨
If you’re styling with heat, these are the three I reach for most in my kit:
✨ Maria Nila Shaping Heat Spray
Perfect for styling with heat while helping protect the hair and giving you a little hold and shape.
✨ Maria Nila Quick Dry Heat Protection Spray
My go-to when I want heat protection without weighing the hair down — especially when I’m creating movement and volume.
✨ Maria Nila Gloss Coat
The finishing touch. A little shine, smoothness and that polished, glossy finish without taking away from the style.
Three products. Three different purposes. One goal: beautiful hair that still feels like YOUR hair. 🤍
Save this for your next styling day!

5 questions I get asked all the time as a bridal hairstylist
1. When should I book my bridal hair?
As soon as you have your wedding date! Popular dates can book quickly, so reaching out early gives you the best chance of securing your preferred stylist.
2. Do I need a bridal hair trial?
I highly recommend one. It gives us time to try your vision, make adjustments and make sure you feel completely confident before your wedding morning.
3. How should I prep my hair for my wedding day?
Come with clean, completely dry hair. I recommend washing twice, conditioning just the ends, and avoiding heavy oils or products. Good prep gives us the best foundation for your style.
4. How much time should I allow for bridal hair?
Give yourself plenty of time! A wedding morning should never feel rushed. We want enough time to create your look properly and leave room for the little unexpected moments that happen on wedding days.
5. What if I have short or fine hair?
You have options! Extensions can add length, fullness or both, depending on your desired look. We can create something beautiful that works with your natural hair while still feeling completely like you.
Your wedding day isn’t about becoming someone else.
It’s about feeling like the most confident version of YOU. 🤍
Save this for your bridal planning!

There’s a story behind Styled by Her Legacy that I don’t share often enough.
I didn’t start this business because I had everything figured out.
I started it in the middle of one of the hardest seasons of my life.
I was becoming a mom…
while simultaneously losing mine.
I was 28 weeks pregnant when my mom passed unexpectedly.
And there are some kinds of grief that change you forever.
I was grieving the woman who raised me, while trying to figure out how to become a mother myself.
I remember feeling like life was asking me to hold two completely opposite emotions at once.
Heartbreak and hope.
Loss and new life.
Grief and love.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I realized something…
I didn’t want the story to end with what I had lost.
I wanted to create something that carried her with me.
Something my daughter could one day look at and know that her grandmother’s love didn’t end when she left this world.
So I started building.
I started creating.
I started learning who I was beyond the grief.
And eventually, Styled by Her Legacy was born.
It became so much more than hair.
It became a place where I could create beauty while I was learning to see beauty in my own life again.
A place where women could sit in my chair, take a breath, feel cared for, and maybe leave feeling a little more like themselves.
And that’s why the word HER means so much to me.
It’s my mom.
It’s my daughter.
It’s me.
It’s every woman who has had to rebuild herself after life didn’t go the way she imagined.
Her Legacy isn’t about pretending life is perfect.
It’s about finding purpose in the pieces.
It’s about becoming her — even after you’ve been broken open by life.
And maybe that’s the greatest part of my story…
I thought I was building a business.
But really, I was building a legacy.
One that started with my mother.
Continues through my daughter.
And lives in every woman who sits in my chair.
This is Styled by Her Legacy.
And this is only the beginning. 🤍
POV: You thought you were just getting a haircut… ✂️
But somewhere between the fresh cut, the styling, and seeing yourself in the mirror…
you remembered her.
The confident version.
The version who stopped hiding.
The version who decided she was worth showing up for.
Sometimes confidence doesn’t start with changing everything.
Sometimes…
it starts with a haircut.
And that feeling when you leave my chair?
That’s the part I’ll never get tired of. 🤍
Styled by Her Legacy — more than hair. It’s about how you feel when you leave.

The details matter. 🤍
Today’s bride reminded me exactly why I love creating bridal looks that feel personal.
She has a pixie cut, but she wanted a little more length through the front. We talked, asked the right questions, and I had extensions on hand that happened to match beautifully.
We tried it… and the smile said everything. ✨
And what made my heart smile the most was how comfortable she felt asking me questions throughout the process. That trust, that ease — it’s everything to me.
From there, we created a soft glam look that enhanced her natural features — adding a half lash, keeping everything feeling like her, and finishing with the little details that pull the entire look together.
The veil placement.
The hair accessories.
The finishing spray.
The tiny adjustments you might not notice… but somehow make the whole look feel complete.
And that’s why I ask questions.
You don’t need to come to me knowing exactly what you want. You don’t need a Pinterest board full of answers.
You just need to tell me how you want to feel.
My job is to listen, guide you, and bring that vision to life in a way that still feels like YOU.
Because your bridal hair and makeup shouldn’t just be beautiful.
It should feel like you. 🤍

Have you ever saved a hairstyle because it was beautiful… only to realize later it just didn’t feel like you?
One of the biggest things I tell my brides is this:
✨ Choose the hairstyle that makes you feel like the best version of yourself—not the one that’s trending.
Your wedding day isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about feeling confident, comfortable, and looking back at your photos years from now and still saying, “That was me.”
Whether you love soft, effortless waves, a timeless low bun, or something a little more romantic, your hairstyle should complement you—your personality, your dress, your features, and your vision.
The right hairstyle doesn’t just complete your look…
It lets you walk into your day feeling like yourself.
If you’re planning your wedding, save this for later. 🤍
Tell me below—are you dreaming of wearing your hair up or down?
