Presidential hopeful Issa Tchiroma Bakary, candidate in the October 12, 2025 election, was stopped this morning at Nsimalen International Airport as he prepared to board a flight to Dakar, Senegal.

The FSCN party leader was reportedly heading to pay homage at the graves of the Ahmadou Ahidjo family, who died in exile.

Sources confirm he was verbally informed of a travel ban, effectively preventing his departure from the country.
