We are excited to share the highlights from the highly successful first session of our Youth Empowerment Workshop on Project Management!
This essential and highly demanded training, organized by the dynamic CAMNAFAW Bamenda Youth Forum under the leadership of their President; Dr. Sancho Kwanda, aimed at equiping the youths with the skills needed to conceive, elaborate, execute, monitor, and close impactful projects.
The workshop was expertly facilitated by Mr. Nduku Louis Tebi at the headquarters of Xhuma Africa in Bamenda.
Our young participants delved into critical topics, including understanding various sources of funds, defining the core structure of a project, and mastering the art of developing a detailed problem statement.
A particularly informative session was conducted on the fundamentals of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL). This session was led by our former Youth Forum President and Stream Three Project M&E officer, Mr. Njah Boris.
Our youths clearly understood the importance of crafting a compelling problem statement and the vital role that baseline data plays in making that statement accurate and impactful.
To put their new knowledge into action immediately, participants were divided into working groups. Their task is to identify viable project ideas and, using what they have learned, develop initial problem statements.
The training days are ongoing, and we are eager to see the innovative problem statements our youth projects will produce.
We sincerely thank Mr. Nduku Louis Tebi for providing the training center and facilitating the training session. We are also grateful to Mr. Njah Boris for leading the MEAL session. A big thank you to Dr. Sancho and the members of his Bureau, our Regional Coordinator Mme EKOUME NDEMA Irene for supervising the training, and most importantly, to CAMNAFAW Youths who seek to empower themselves and promote the progress of our community.
