The closed volume fans (aka spikes) were placed on the upper lash layers, and they were spaced apart some so that they really pop.

For the base lengths I went 3-4mm shorter. Don’t place the same lengths next to each other consistently or you’ll start to lose the extra wispiness. So for ex. Even though you’re only using 9-12 in that section, pick up a different length each time and place on a different layers. That’s how you’ll create a perfectly ‘imperfect’ look.

Each fan was around 8-10D (8-10 lashes per fan) and I used my .05 lash trays in c curl.

In love with this set I did on my client the other day & decided to share it 🥰
The longer lengths give the set a much more textured, dimensional look. However, you don’t want a heavy layer for the long lengths. Depending on how big your clients’ eyes are, I normally would just do 10-12 fans of longer lengths only.
You want to keep the shorter lengths the denser layer. So lash the majority of the set with the shorter lengths.
I also broke down the products used. I love to mix 0.02 and 0.05 diameters (from Signature Plush Collection) to give the set extraaaa wispiness, but still maintain that soft & blended look.
