Akstra LLLT hair growth is not a one off treatment for hair loss, it is designed to be repeated and results to be maintained. A typical Akstra treatment consists of 2 sessions, which are to be repeated twice a week. Session times last between 20 to 25 minutes per treatment. Once hair growth has been achieved, a recommended maintenance treatment once a week is advised, to keep hair more volumised and healthy.

Androgenetic Alopecia or Male Pattern Baldness is the progressive loss of scalp hair in men, so called because it follows a pattern. At first a receding hairline develops (usually at the temples) and the hair gradually starts to thin. A bald patch gradually forms in the middle of the scalp and joins the receding areas at the temples. A patch of hair is then left in the middle (the crown) of the head and a U shape is typically formed around the back and sides where the two balding areas meet.
