Here are common natural lash myths surrounding lash extensions for the girlies that are still a little hesitant about getting their lashes done!🙌🏻🤎🤎

After months of not having lash extensions I can confidently say that “LASH EXTENSIONS DO NOT DAMAGE YOUR LASHES”

💭 MYTH 1: Lash extensions damage your natural lashes.

✅ TRUTH:
When applied correctly by a trained professional using proper isolation and weight, lash extensions do not damage your natural lashes. Damage typically happens due to poor application, lashes that are too heavy, or improper aftercare (like rubbing or picking).

💭 MYTH 2: You have to take breaks from lash extensions to let your natural lashes breathe.

✅ TRUTH:
Natural lashes don’t need to “breathe.” They’re not alive like skin or nails. As long as lash extensions are applied and maintained properly, there’s no need to take breaks.

💭 MYTH 3: Lash extensions stop your natural lashes from growing.

✅ TRUTH:
Lashes go through a natural growth cycle (Anagen, Catagen, Telogen). Extensions are attached to mature lashes, so when they shed, it may seem like your lashes are falling out. But that’s completely normal.

💭 MYTH 4: You’ll be bald if you remove your extensions.

✅ TRUTH:
It may feel like your natural lashes are shorter or fewer, but that’s usually because you got used to the fuller extension look. If your lashes were cared for properly, they are still there, just less noticeable.

💭 MYTH 5: Extensions are one-size-fits-all.

✅ TRUTH:
Every client has different natural lash strength and eye shapes. A skilled lash artist customizes length, curl, and volume based on what your lashes can safely handle.

💭 MYTH 6: Mascara is safe to use with lash extensions.

✅ TRUTH:
Mascara especially waterproof can break down the lash adhesive and cause clumping. It’s not recommended, especially with volume or hybrid sets.

💭 MYTH 7: You can’t wash your lash extensions.

✅ TRUTH:
You must wash your lashes regularly with lash-safe cleanser to remove oils, makeup, and bacteria. Dirty lashes can cause infections or lash mites.

Unknown Quality & Products – Every lash tech uses different techniques, adhesives, and materials. Some might not be compatible with our products, meaning extra time and care are needed to ensure your lashes stay safe and healthy.

Assessing & Fixing Issues – If the previous work isn’t done correctly (stickies, poor isolation, incorrect styling), we have to carefully assess and correct it before applying new lashes. This takes more precision and time than a regular fill.

Extra Time & Expertise – Blending different lash styles while maintaining a flawless, seamless look requires extra effort. Sometimes, a full removal and fresh set is the best option, which means even more work.
